To my readers around the world,
I hope these books will offer guidance and encouragement throughout your journey in kendo and in life. May the lessons within these pages help you grow not only as a swordsman, but also as a person.
Kendo tournaments can’t run without volunteers. What are their jobs? What’s the most difficult tasks? And whose job do they want to take the most 👀 Follow Heidi to find out.
Big thanks to video editor .y_lam
Dear Sensei,
My name is Aurélia Blanchard, 7th Dan from France.
I am organizing the 4th edition of the Women Aki Taikai, which will take place in Eaubonne, near Paris, from October 2nd to 4th.
The aim of this event is to bring together women kendoka from different countries to practice together, share experience, and strengthen our international connections.
The program will be:
– Friday evening: joint keiko for all participants
– Saturday: 7th Dan women will teach participants grouped by grade
– Sunday: individual tournament by grade, from kyu to 7th Dan
Most of the top European female competitors usually attend this event. With the World Championships approaching in the coming months, it could also be a valuable opportunity for high-level competitors to gain meaningful international experience.
It would truly be an honor and a great joy if you could join us. Your presence and perspective would be very meaningful for all participants.
Here is the Facebook link: https://www.facebook.com/womenakitaikai
If you are willing, it would also be wonderful if you could share the event within your kendo network.
Thank you very much for your time and consideration.
With respect,
Aurélia Blanchard
