After having my first baby nearly 11 years ago, I remember feeling completely disconnected from my body.
I had awful back pain, my knees hurt, and there was this strange empty feeling through my tummy that I couldn’t quite explain. I didn’t feel weak exactly but I didn’t feel like myself.
At the time, I assumed it was all just part of becoming a mum.
But as I trained and studied postnatal recovery, I realised how much our bodies go through during pregnancy, birth and a C-section. Understanding what was happening and learning how to reconnect with my body through Pilates, changed everything.
It eased the back pain, helped me feel stronger through my core, and gradually gave me the confidence to move, exercise, and eventually run again.
It’s why helping other mums through their own recovery feels so personal to me.
Because I know what it’s like to wonder if you’ll ever feel like yourself again.
And I know that with the right support, you can. ❤️

I’m Nishka, a Mum of 3 and I care very deeply about supporting Mums on their road to recovering after they’ve had a baby and even years beyond that.
One of my favourite parts of the week are my Mum & Pilates classes on Tuesdays. I get to support Mums to heal and rebuild strength, and we’re surrounded by such cuteness! A win win for all!

Mums can join from 6 weeks postpartum for vaginal births & 10 weeks for C-sections (babies are welcome up to pre-crawling).

“Why can everyone else feel their core… but I can’t?”
It’s something I hear from mums after a C-section or difficult birth.
You’re doing the same exercises in class,
but your body just doesn’t seem to respond.
That doesn’t mean you’re behind.
Every birth — and every recovery — is different.
Sometimes your body simply needs more support reconnecting first.
Group training can be a brilliant part of recovery.
But for some mums, a little individual guidance is what makes everything start to click.
That was certainly the case for me after my last C-Section.
