Pilates is not just about strength or flexibility, although those are lovely bonuses.

For me, it’s also about finding joy in what your body can do. The little discoveries. The laughter when you wobble. The quiet pride when something clicks and you realise, “Oh, I can do that.”

In my classes, we celebrate the wobbles as much as the wins, because every movement tells us something. Come for the Pilates, stay for the community.

This is what teaching actually looks like.

Watching, then listening, then adjusting. Trying a different cue, then another one. Teaching the people in front of me, not some imaginary textbook body that behaves perfectly. (Mine certainly doesn’t…!)

People don’t all need the same thing – some need strength, some need mobility, some need more breath, some need to stop holding on to absolutely everything all at once. Do any of those sound familiar?

Paying attention is what I do, to help you move to your best ability. Tap the link in the bio to join a south London class today!

Spot the Diane! A reminder that movement is not just what happens in class.

Sometimes it’s this. Fresh air, a long (very long, in this case) walk, legs that know they’ve done something, and that nice feeling afterwards that says yes, that was good for me.

One of the things I love about Pilates is what it gives people outside the studio too. More strength. More balance. More trust in their body.

It gave me the ability to hike in Iceland with these lovely ladies. What will it give you?

This is the sort of move people often underestimate.

It can look very simple from the outside. Lying down, breathing, arms up. Fine.

But often the most useful work starts here. Breath, pressure, alignment, awareness, noticing where you grip, noticing what is not switching on, noticing what you’ve been overriding for years.

Pilates works in mysterious and wonderful ways. I’d love to teach you - if Wednesday mornings are right for you, I have some spaces in class right now! Tap the link in the bio to book.

Fame! 🤩 One of my lovely students took this.

I have recorded some classes for and this is just one example.

I’ve been teaching for years and still think one of the most important parts of the job is staying curious. Bodies are too individual, and - let’s face it - occasionally too awkward, for any teacher to think they’ve finished learning.

But I love that even if people can’t make it to Crystal Palace for a class, there’s the possibility of my teaching reaching them.

I’m very happy to be someone who talks about bodies for a living. Especially the bits people have been taught to ignore, minimise or feel embarrassed about.

So many people quietly put up with shrinking their lives due to symptoms, pain, embarrassment and changes, because they think it’s just one of those things. Ageing. Stress. Post-baby life. Menopause. Injury.

Sometimes these things are common, but I believe that doesn’t mean they should be dismissed. Understanding your body better is useful. Talking about it properly is useful too.

If you are interested in joining a class, I am always here to talk beforehand. And if you book in for Hypopressives, I’ll make sure we have a 1:1 session first to ensure I know your symptoms and can help you in the best way.

One of the nicest parts of this work is that it’s not just about the exercises.

It’s the laughter, the community, the chat before class. The moment someone says, “That actually feels much better.”

Most people aren’t coming to Pilates because everything already feels easy in their body. Usually it’s because something feels tight, weak, sore, frustrating or just a bit off. So when that starts to shift, even a little, that’s success.

But so is the coffee after class and the camaraderie! Join us - book a class today at the link in my bio.

People sometimes ask me why I evolved from Pilates to also specialise in Hypopressives. The truth? It was my own body that gave me the answer.

After having my two wonderful children, I faced a prolapse. I felt disconnected from my core and, honestly, a bit betrayed.

Discovering Hypopressives genuinely helped me slowly change this. It wasn’t just about “fixing” a symptom; it was about reclaiming my confidence.

If you’re feeling that disconnect today, I want you to know: there is a path back to feeling strong. 🌿 DM me if you want more info or check out my website at the link in bio.

Celebrate! Happy New Year!!

The best moment in any class is the small one: when someone realises they’re stronger than last week. Just a softening in the face or a shoulder settling where it belongs.

It’s the quiet kind of progress that shows up everywhere else - in how you walk, carry things, stand, breathe.

If you want strength that sneaks into your life in the best way, come join us. We’re a welcoming group!

Pilates is what I return to when my thoughts behave like a trolley with a wonky wheel - veering off, wobbling, refusing to go where I want.

There’s something quietly calming about lining up your spine, breath, and focus. The world stops tilting quite so dramatically.

If your mind has been doing its own circus act, come lie down on a mat. It’s (slightly) steadier here. Tap the link in the bio to see the class lineup.
