❤️ October Coach Appreciation ❤️ This month we would like to say a huge 'Thank You' and 'Well Done' to everyone who was either nominated for, won a Regional Award or won a National Award at the 2026 ONE Awards this year.

⭐ There were so many wonderful Bee Leaders, Coaches, Tutors, Assessors, Clubs and Organisations that go above and beyond to deliver amazing sessions and/or support and guide coaches on their journeys. 💞

We really do appreciate the enthusiasm, commitment and endless hours you all give and are grateful to have such a wonderful netball family who support each other on and off the court. 🙌

🏐 This programme aims to educate on the vital landing mechanics needed in our sport and improve those basic skills to try and help people reduce their injury risk in their lower limbs. It is designed for all ages in all skill sets whether it is your first netball season or for those who have been playing this sport for many years.

"If in doubt, sit them out' is clear, simple and important for (and every day!)

Put the welfare of each participant at the very heart of your coaching practice by following these three steps:

⭐RECOGNISE the signs of concussion.

⭐REMOVE anyone suspected of being concussed immediately.

⭐RETURN the person safely to daily activity, education/work, and ultimately physical activity and sport.

We hear this a lot, but Chaos can be good as is more game like so why wouldn't we create that in training. Some great conversations taking place so make sure you don't miss out on the next ones and get signed to up hear more and connect with other children's coaches across the county and from different sports. 👇

🙈 To the untrained eye, child-first coaching can sometimes look chaotic... but as coaches, we aim to have clarity amidst the 'chaos' of what children have chosen, what skills they're developing and why.

This came up in Wednesday's coach catch-up about the struggle of how coaching in a child-first way can be perceived by others, hosted by UK Coaching's Tom Hartley and Martin Dighton.

We had the pleasure of catching up with Pete a few weeks ago and had some brilliant conversations around child first coaching.
