After eight years as General Manager of Macclesfield RUFC, Andrew Appleyard “Apps” is leaving the club at the end of November to move on to a new chapter in his career. Andy will be spending more time building his family teamwear business, HOTBOD, and is also excited to be developing a new venture in rugby at the same time.
Over the last eight years “Apps” has made an enormous contribution to the life and development of Macclesfield Rugby Club, with his organization and management of the many aspects of life at the club, and in particular the creation of Priory Park Venue and his work developing the large increase in the number and nature of events held at the club. His wife Katie has also been a major player in ensuring that external events are arranged and run effectively at the club.
Apps has also been responsible for the organisation of the annual Macclesfield 7’s tournament, one of the highlights of our end of season activities.
I would like to offer my thanks as well as those on behalf of the membership of the club for everything that Apps has contributed and done since he joined us as General Manager in November 2018 and wish him every success in the next phase of his career.
We are now advertising for a new General Manager at Macclesfield Rugby and will be arranging an appropriate handover from Andy.
