Our bespoke corporate mat and desk yoga classes have supported colleague wellness remotely. Enjoy
We spend over a 1/3rd of our lives at work.
How we feel at work can affect our mental health.
That's why many organisations invest in creating an inclusive culture where colleagues can feel safe being who they really are.
There's a mutual benefit - colleagues feel more engaged as part of their community.
But creating a sense of community, doesn't just happen- it's the responsiblity of everyone in the workplace to bring to life the values and culture of the organisation.
This short clip was taken from our Lunch and Learn Session on Mental Health in the Workplace; Creating a Caring Culture.

At My Life Tonic we like to help people find ways that will support their physical and mental health...our contrast therapy sessions, combined with some yoga before hand, is a great way of doing that.
Whether you are in the cold water or the sauna - it's a great way to switch off and relax. Time away from screens and focusing on how the body feels in the different temperatures helps our mental health.
Similarly, from a physical perspective the hot and cold contrasts will help with relieving muscle tightness, chronic pain as well as activating your circulatory system.
What we certainly find is that people leave our sessions energized and ready to take on the day.

Do you sometimes struggle with Self Doubt?
(also known as Imposter Syndrome).
8 Ways to Deal with Imposter Syndrome.
If like me, there are times when I do doubt myself - maybe it’s natural- however; how we cope with, acknowledge it is perhaps the most important factor.
Self-doubt and imposter syndrome are common experiences that can hold us back from reaching our full potential.
Whether it’s feeling unworthy of success, questioning our abilities, or fearing that others will discover we’re not as competent as they believe, these thoughts can be limiting and damaging to our well-being.
However, by recognizing these feelings and implementing effective strategies, we can overcome self-doubt and develop lasting confidence.
1. Recognizing Imposter Syndrome
2. Challenging Negative Self-Talk
3. Celebrate Your Successes
4. Embracing Growth Over Perfection
5. Seeking Support and Perspective
6. Taking Action Despite Fear
7. Reframing Comparison
8. Practicing Self-Compassion
Ready to take the next step - forward
Don’t let self-doubt or imposter syndrome define your journey.
By recognizing these feelings, reframing negative thoughts, and taking action, you can build self-confidence and embrace your achievements.
Remember, you are more capable than your doubts suggest, and with the right mindset and support, you can move forward with confidence and authenticity.
I hope you found this post helpful....but as ever - if you a thought or tip that you think would help please feel free to share!
You can get more detail in our recent blog.
Just to explain the image - sometimes we may set out to do something new but aren’t completely sure what the end outcome will be. This sense of self doubt can on occasion prevent us from taking the first step.
Taking the first step can open a world of new opportunities and experiences that you may not have foreseen...who knows what is round the corner.

Mental Health Awareness Week in May is a great initiative raising awareness of the importance of maintaining a positive mental health.
This year's theme was Community.
Being part of a community is to watch out for, and support, those around you that may be struggling with their mental health. Knowing the signs is the first step in being able to offer support.
2 ways that someone's behaviour may change could be
* The way they Communicate
* Their routines or levels of productivity
These are 2 of several changes that you, or someone else, may notice if mental health is becoming a challenge.
In future posts, I'll share other signals that we can all be aware of.
Being part of the community, fostering a sense of belonging, really does have a positive impact on our mental health; firstly in terms of maintaining a positive state of mind, but then also in way with which we can support eachother.

Do you have trouble sleeping?
Life feels better after a good night's sleep.
Sleeplessness can be caused by a variety to factors in our lives, from stress, anxiety and depression through to the various life stages we may find ourselves at.
Perhaps integrating regular saunas into your regular routine could help?
Including a regular routine that combines saunas can help you have both a better quality and longer sleep. At My Life Tonic we like to offer the combination of a yoga session with time in the sauna.
Physical movement with time in sauna has helped our clients to feel more rested and relaxed - which will in turn help to improve sleep.
If you're having trouble sleeping - it may at least be worth a try...
Any questions - do contact us if you'd like to find out about our weekly sessions or discuss the opportunity of private group or 121 sessions.
We look forward to hearing from you.

Our Story
Yoga Tonic UK is comprised of Tim and Shannon Phillis who are both RYT200 yoga teachers (YogaLondon). We teach classes from our home gym in Cookham, near Maidenhead and Marlow.
Tim has enjoyed sports all his life, starting with team sports in school through to ultra-distance running and triathlon. After suffering a knee injury, Tim took up yoga to strengthen the muscles around his knee and core. Tim is a mindful teacher and has vast experience coaching teams, triathlon clubs and circuits classes.
Shannon has had a love of running and cycling for years and started taking up yoga regularly when moving to the UK from California in 2000. Shannon always wanted to become a yoga teacher but got distracted with triathlon, where she met her husband in the slow swimmers lane at Fulham pools. Yoga used to be a supplement rather than a training session but if ever missing a week of yoga, the muscles would feel it.
Tim and Shannon now believe that yoga can be a training session on it's own but instead of just focusing the body, it also focuses the mind improving overall well being (a bit cliche but true).
All are welcome and feedback is always appreciated!
