"ARE YOU LISTENING?"
If you're a parent, there's a good chance you've said those words more than once!
As children move into secondary school, they're often expected to manage more information, follow different instructions and stay focused for longer periods
That can take some getting used to
In martial arts, children have plenty of opportunities to practise listening and concentration
They might need to remember a sequence of movements, listen carefully to their instructor or focus on getting a particular technique right
And if they lose focus? They get another chance to try
These aren't instant solutions to schoolwork or concentration challenges, but they are useful skills to practice
At Alliance Combat, we want children to enjoy learning while developing habits that can support them both on and off the mats
