The Maldon Mud Race

The Maldon Festival returns this September with a full programme of 50 free and ticketed events across music, theatre, visual arts and heritage

From 11-26 September, our historic town will transform venues to create a vibrant celebration of creativity for local residents and tourists

This year's programme also aligns with Heritage Open Days and the Maldon Art Trail, creating one of the largest coordinated celebrations of culture ever held in the town

Local Tesco store managers, including Maldon, are walking from Braintree to Dunmow on Wednesday 1st July 2026 to raise money for Cancer Research UK

Ben Fullalove, who runs the Maldon store, said: “We’ve got together with stores across the area to see how much we can raise as this is a cause so close to the hearts of so many of our colleagues and customers.

"We really hope lots of Essex customers and businesses will support us online and on the day and we just hope that this very hot weather will have passed by then!”.
