Bedians AFC

Another good work out yesterday against Old Bolts, who were great battlers we went 3-1 up and Bolts back to get a late equaliser on a hot day in Didsbury. Great sportsmanship by both teams who all had pint together after the game, we will definetly play each other next pre season.

Bedians Awards 25/26 George doubles up with another award this season he was an ever present all season always gives 100% every week, he walks away with the Veteran of the Season award, he has many more miles to go with Bedians

Bedians End of Season award, goal of the season trophy was one to remember, 15 goals made the final pick and Keane who was winner had 5 goals to choose from however his free kick against AFC Oldham was the players favourite, enjoy the goals, we could outdo the match of the day goal of the season.

Bedians end of season awards player of the year Mason Swindells a solid centre half it’s his first season for the so a great start to his career with Bedians always turns up and plays well and trains hard, I am sure he will push on to better things for the club next season, I hope you enjoy Masons best moments.

Next up, we host Old Boltonians from the Lancashire Amatuer League, a club with a proud history and lots of trophies in the not-too-distant past. It will be another physical challenge. A very interesting fact about Boltonians is that their home ground is officially the oldest football ground in the world; Turton FC first staged a football match in 1830. Here’s a few goals to enjoy from our preseason so far in no particular order.

5th preseason game against a well organised Bollington United was hard fought and we came out winners with two great finishes by Ollie and Roman, fitness is improving collectively and our shape is improving, unfortunatley we picked up one injury yesterday, potentially an ACL near the end of the game no other player was involved, Dan will be going for a scan hopefully it not as bad as he thinks. The games are coming thick and fast now we go again Saturday against Bollington United, who were excellent last season and were the most consistent team leading the table up until more or less the last game of the season, unfortunately, injuries caught up with Bollington as it did with us the season before.

George has retained his clubman of the year available for every game, never misses a training session and a very committed player, who’s work on the pitch goes unnoticed due his consitancy, he will help anyone in the squad with lifts and support and a true gentleman.👏👏👏👏
