Final reminder for next week!

🌿 Trent Park to Forty Hall 🌿
📅 Saturday, 15th August, 9.30am meet
📍 Meeting Point: Cockfosters Station
🥾 Distance: Approximately 16km (including the 3km walk to Gordon Hill Station)
⏱️ Estimated Time: Around 4 hours

Join us for our next free group hike through the beautiful landscapes of Trent Park and on to the historic Forty Hall.
Once part of a royal hunting ground, Trent Park has centuries of fascinating history. The estate later became famous during the Second World War, when it was used as a secret interrogation centre for captured German officers. Today it’s one of North London’s most beautiful green spaces, with ancient woodland, lakes, open meadows and plenty of wildlife.
Our walk finishes at Forty Hall, a stunning 17th-century Jacobean manor house surrounded by picturesque gardens and parkland. It’s the perfect place to relax after the hike, grab a drink or explore the grounds before heading home.

🚆 The nearest station is Gordon Hill, with direct trains back to Moorgate (assuming they’re running for a change!).
🍕 If you’d like to keep the day going, you’re very welcome to join us afterwards at Tim’s new flat for some food and a drink on the terrace. We’ll get off the train at Winchmore Hill. Just send us a message if you’d like to come along so we know who to expect.

As always, the hike is completely free—just bring comfortable walking shoes, water, lunch/snacks, and fingers crossed for sunshine (though it’ll probably be raining by terrace time! ☔😂).

Here’s a sprinkling of dishes from 5 days working with and Burkley & Miller Events.

I don’t chat that much about nutrition on here. There’s no right way to build your day of eating, and nearly all of us know what we ‘need’ to be getting - plenty of protein, plenty of fruits/veg, fibre.

In general, consistent and simple food the majority of the time is the easiest way to get into a regular routine.

Weeks like this are great for inspiration, trying things you normally don’t, and for switching up your routine to see if another way works better for you.
