It’s been a tough week for the equestrian community. The shocking news of the British Eventing tragedies over the weekend has touched so many.

With a heavy heart it has touched my life a little more. Sophie was one of my best friends. Together in Hampshire we shared a yard for 6 years and became incredibly close. In 2023, I left Hampshire, however Sophie and I stayed close friends, seeing each other when time allowed.
On Saturday the news ripped me in two. My heart broke for all of her family and her beautiful children. I still cannot get my head around that she is no longer with us.

Everyday you brought light to lives of the people you knew and loved.

You were one in a million. A very very special and dear friend to me, brilliant horse woman, fabulous mother and wife.
Fiercely head strong, determined and independent but with the most beautiful, loving and kind soul.
I have so many memories of our time together of which I smile and laugh at.
I will miss you and I will endeavour to make you proud. 🤍💙

Today I took Dotty out for a pre regional run. She was super scoring 70.1% and 69.5% for a win and second, holding my hand under these circumstances.

I believe Sophie was with me and I hope she will be riding with me forever more.

A great week with the lovely Floyd ( Penhaligon Freigheist) owned by Sue Price.

A run through of the PSG at Newbold Verdon on Tuesday for a brilliant 71.3% and a win infront of a list 1 judge.

Today we contested a very hot Advanced Medium Gold Regional at Vale View Equestrian. He was super, sadly we had a minor miscommunication in the first flying change, however a lovely test for 68.5% and we finished 10th.
Huge thanks to Sue for the opportunity to ride your lovely boy.
