SAFE - one of our kit sponsors.💙

We are really happy this season to be supporting SAFE, a local charity supporting young people and adults who are experiencing mental health difficulties or other life challenges. SAFE runs two core programmes: The Prop Up Project for young people (13-19) and young adults (20-25), and Socialease for adults aged 18+. There are currently six groups running across Lancaster, Morecambe and the surrounding areas.🤝

Through small, supportive group sessions, SAFE provides a welcoming and relaxed environment, for those who may find socialising difficult. Creative activities combined with wellbeing focused topics help people connect with others who have shared experiences, build confidence, develop personalised coping strategies, and improve their overall mental health and wellbeing at a pace that feels comfortable for them.

Our first home match of the season and we welcomed Dalton Black to the Giant Axe.👍

In another tight match between the sides we unfortunately came out on the wrong end of the scoreline this time, a result that doesn't reflect the way the game played out. Still, there are lessons in every match and more in defeat, we'll keep working hard going into next weekend.

We started the match strongly with Daisy grabbing our opener and dominated until around the 20 minute mark.⚽A 25 yard equaliser against the run of play changed the dynamic of the match but our girls kept going, pushing Dalton back for the majority of the second half. As always the girls' commitment can't be faulted and we'll dust ourselves down ready for another home match next weekend.💙

Massive shout outs to our player(s) of the match this weekend in Emily, Anna and Katie, who all shared goalkeeping duties throughout, with Emily also grabbing our goal of the game as the match entered the final 15 minutes.⭐️

We opened our season away against Kendal United Cobras yesterday in familiar surroundings having travelled up to Kendal a number of times over the last few years.👍

A frustrating afternoon for our girls having done everything but score! Isla and Daisy both hit the woodwork with Ellie and Anna seeing shots saved well by the Kendal goalkeeper, just a few of many opportunities for the away side.⚽

Daisy took home player of the match yesterday. As always a solid and dependable player for us who we've loved seeing progress in our team from the very beginning. Well done Daisy.👏

Really happy to open with a clean sheet yesterday too, evidence of good concentration from both teams on the day. Thanks to all that supported us and we'll move onto our next game.💙
