Brilliant 4-3 Second game of the season with a second win 🏆

On a warm rainy sunny Sunday morning the lads worked hard as a team to take the three points.

Another good performance today and a well battled first competitive win of the season.

As we’ve never played against this team before I wasn’t sure what to expect and that can make the team selection difficult.

We didn’t start badly but went 1-0 down after only 3 minutes. The lads kept their heads and we soon equalised after 6 minutes and the game became evenly balanced. We broke the deadlock in the 27 minute to make it 2-1 at half time which I believe we deserved.

A good half time team talk which some of the boys got involved in and we came out strong in the second half and went 3-1 up after 37 minutes and then scored a 4th 5 minutes later. After this point we had more chances and should have put the game out of reach but we didn’t and they scored 2 goals in 3 minutes to put the pressure on but we saw the game out for the win. Our passing and talking let us down today and something we will be working on in training.

Wasn’t the prettiest of games but a well deserved win.

Another 4 different names for POM which is great as a team performance.

Tyler once again had a great game today and pulled out some vital saves to keep us in the game.

The early signs show that we are gelling better as a team this season and keep battling right to the end.

Morley U12 blue were at home against Leeds juniors today in an end to end thriller.

We started slow and struggled to impact the game early on going a goal behind. We responded well putting pressure on Leeds juniors and it paid off getting a equaliser.

Unfortunately that made us take our foot off the gas and we were behind again with Leeds juniors scoring from distance.

We responded well again getting a penalty just before half time which we scored and put us 2-2 at half time.

The second half was very even both teams having chances and the game could of gone either way and thankfully the goal came Morleys way to put us ahead for the first time in the game and we held on to that lead until the final whistle.

A amazing team performance today and the boys did amazing job to come from behind twice to win the game. Brilliant game boys well done 👏💙⚽️
