Backworth Cricket Club is a local club set in the grounds of Backworth Golf Club. Founded in 1874 and a great place to spend your summer!
We have four senior sides - two which play on a Saturday, a 3rd team which plays on a Sunday and a T20 team which plays on Thursday evenings. In addition to this we have a thriving junior section which fields teams at under 18, under 15, under 13 and Under 11 levels. Anyone is welcome at Backworth, players or non players! 1st and 2nd XI both lost on Saturday, but it was victory for our Academy XI on Sunday.

🏏 WEEKEND RESULTS 🏏
The 1st XI game was abandoned due to rain in Annfield Plain during the second innings, with an exciting finish in store.
Our 2nd XI were defeated in a close game with league leaders Mitford, taking them to the penultimate delivery.
The Academy XI won convincingly thanks to a maiden 5 wicket haul from 14 year old Andrew Ross and another 50 for Kai Pattison.
