From the crisp alpine swim, to the iconic 21 hairpin climb of Alpe d’Huez, and a testing run, this is a course thar earns its reputation and delivers an unforgettable race experience.

Karen and Richie rose brilliantly to the challenge, embracing every challenge the course had to offer and crossing the finish line with plenty to be proud of.

πŸ‘πŸ» Karen Lewis – 4:06:26

Yesterday, six NTC members took on one of the world’s toughest endurance events – the Alpe d’Huez Long Distance Triathlon in the heart of the French Alps. πŸ‡«πŸ‡·β›°οΈ

From the crystal-clear waters of Lac du Verney, to over 3,200m of climbing on the bike including the legendary 21 hairpin bends of Alpe d’Huez, before finishing with a gruelling 12-mile run at altitude, this race is a true test of endurance, determination and resilience.

We are incredibly proud of our athletes who crossed the finish line and conquered one of triathlon’s most iconic challenges. Their commitment, months of training and sheer grit were on full display, and they did both themselves and NTC proud. 🟠βšͺοΈπŸ”΄βš«οΈ

Results:
πŸ‘πŸ» Oliver Harkin – 8:21:43
πŸ‘πŸ» Alan Lewis – 8:59:54
πŸ‘πŸ» John Haughey – 9:41:13
πŸ‘πŸ» Cliffy Hamilton – 10:26:55
πŸ‘πŸ» Eoin Tipping – 10:32:15

Unfortunately, Vicky’s race didn’t go to plan this time. While yesterday wasn’t the outcome she had worked so hard for, we know how determined and resilient she is. She’ll come back stronger, and we will all be behind her every step of the way. 🧑

A huge congratulations to all six athletes for taking on such an incredible challenge and representing NTC with pride on one of triathlon’s biggest stages.

Well done everyone! πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ§‘
