Coaching news this morning as Jim Henry has been announced as Saints' new defence coach for this season. Jim is a familiar face at the Gardens having had a number of roles since his arrival. He also, spent some time with Bedford Blues as their Defence and Scrum coach last season - he's credited as having played a major role in the Blues' success in the CHAMP.

Congratulations Jim!!

More fixture news as we learn about Loughborough Lightning's fixtures for The PWR. We have two double headers to look forward to - on 28 December, both Saints and Lightning play Quins at Allianz Stadium, Twickenham and a week later we have a double header as Lightning play Tigers at the Gardens.

Six Lightning players will join England's WXV training squad - congratulations to Keevy Fitzpatrick and Carmela Morrall who join the four existing Lightning Red Roses.

Some contract news this morning as Saints have signed tighthead prop Ion Neculai from Zebre Parma. Ion is a Moldovan born, Italian international who recently played for Italy in the Nations Championship.

And we have a loosehead joining us on a short term contract - Jordan Els joins from Harlequins.

Both lads were training with the squad last week. Welcome both!
