*National Schools Regatta*
π£Final results π£:
Will - 1st Final G
Mae - 7th Final B
Nik & Fraser - 3rd Final B
Jemima & Polly - 7th Final C
And definitely not forgetting:
Libby (Stowe) - 2nd Final C
Cameron (Leander)- 4th Final A
The competition was literally best in the country.
β¨οΈThese results were especially incredible given:
π£ββοΈ For Polly & Jemima it was their first race together
π£ββοΈ Jemima, Mae, Fraser, Will had to race up 1 year
π£ββοΈ Libby raced up 2 years
π£ββοΈ for Cameron the difference between 2nd place and 4th place was 0.18 of a second
For all athletes to qualify for finals and to achieve 2 major finals they all did us so proud. It was the greatest number of athletes weβve ever taken to this event and shows just how well the junior section is thriving.

Massive congratulations to our junior contingent who went medal hunting at the weekend and didnβt disappoint.

Our A final place finishers were:
Nik J16 1x first π₯
Polly WJ18 2ndπ₯
Lottie WJ18 4th
Mae WJ17 2nd π₯
Polly & Jemima WJ18 2x 1st π₯
Lottie & Darcey WJ18 2x 3rd π₯
Poppy & Sibylla WJ15 2x 3rd π₯
Poppy WJ15 1x 2nd π₯
Jasmine WJ15 1x 4th
Will & Henry J18 2x 5th
Must say particular commiserations to Jasmine who was only 0.1 sec off a medal position and Lottie who was 0.7 seconds off. So close girls.

What a day on the Tideway ππ£ββοΈ
Our composite Womenβs 8 with took on in style, starting 258th and powering their way up to an incredible 182nd out of 351 crews π₯
A huge push, relentless determination, and a performance to be proud of from bow to stroke. Racing on the Thames is never easy, but this crew showed exactly what theyβre made of πͺ
Massive thanks to everyone who supported, coached, and cheered us on β onwards and upwards π
Massive shout out to for hosing us and for towing (and a huge congratulations on your achievements!)

HEAD RACE CANCELLED
Unfortunately due to the heavy rain yesterday the Environment Agency has issued a flood warning on our stretch of the River Nene which they do not anticipate will be lifted in time for our race tomorrow.
If you are in the area and fancy some soup or cakes tomorrow morning please drop in and help us avoid food waste and reduce our loss from the organising of the event. We will be open from 9am - 12 noon.
We are deeply disappointed to have to make this decision but hope competitors can understand.
We look forward to organising next years event.
Best wishes,
NRC Head Race Committee
