π FIRST WIN!πβ¦. Devils have first win of the season. Amazing result from a group of ladies who have been training hard all season.
What a game! Everything came together; teamwork, tactics, effort and baskets. So well deserved and felt like a win for all the team not just those who were playing β€οΈπ

Amazing game to watch, scores back and forth, down by 8 at start of 4thβ¦.winning by 1 at full time. Edge of your seat stuff!
A fabulous way to finish the season. ππ
Thank you to all the parents who are in the background supporting and encouraging, giving lifts and just being there for all the girls who often at this age move away from sport. Itβs been brilliant to see their effort, commitment and love for the game come through. The passion on the court on this last day was infectious - even one of the refs said it made him wish he could play again!

π IWD contdβ¦. U10 + Mums! Biggest, loudest, craziest session of our very long day π
We invited mums to join the girls for this celebratory session. It was organised chaos!π€£. The girls brought the noise, the mums brought the support, competition, and fun. We saw the juniors trying to coach their mums and we saw mums joining in and encouraging their daughters.
We pride ourselves in getting families involved in the development of their daughters in whatever role they can play.
Definitely one of our favourite sessions of the year!

π U11βs = RESILIENT!!ππ
We already started the day with a small team, sickness meant we then dropped to 5. These girls played 4 tough games in our local mixed tournament. They did NOT give up. With some quick subs, a few baskets and great motivation they pushed through their tiredness and finished the tournament with a well deserved win.
They supported each other, tried out new skills, listened and learnt from their losses.

STACKED!β¦.busy weekend for Iceniπ
U16βs travelled South to Thurrock yesterday bringing home a convincing win 63-31 well done!!
We start today the first of our three home games with local all girls NL U14 v Hoopstars. Following the win away our girls will be battling hard to repeat this success at home.
U12βs host local mixed league Beccles Bombersβ¦ the girls started well against this side in their recent away fixture, hereβs hoping with their consistent improvement the score line this time is in our favour at home.
Final game of the day is our favourite home fixture with our two ladies teams Saints v Devils. A great show of womenβs basketball and role models for all the members of our club.
Good luck to all!

π ALL GIRLSβ¦.Yr 7 high school tournament always brings a lot of fun and NOISE! ππ€£
Fantastic session introducing 35 girls to basketball for the first time.
We were very impressed with the teamwork, βgive it a goβ attitude and hustle.
Encouraging girls to stay active can lead to lifelong habits that benefit both physical and mental health.
Basketball offers girls a chance to develop skills that go beyond the court. Being part of a team can boost their sense of belonging and achievement. It allows them to learn the value of practice and hard work. These experiences can help girls succeed in many areas of life, shaping their confidence and resilience.
We love being part of a community providing these opportunities.
Thank you and Open Academy
