💙 TROY — 16hh, 8-YEAR-OLD GELDING 💙 🏇 Successful racing career | Sound & injury-free | Genuine all-rounder Troy is an absolutely lovely 16hh, 8-year-old gelding who has had a successful racing career and retired sound and injury-free. He has now come to me to find his new forever home, and I really would like to find him the loving home he deserves. ❤️ On the ground, Troy is a loving, affectionate and incredibly easy boy. He adores his polos and fuss and is just a pleasure to have around. He has been shod all round and stood like an absolute rock for the farrier being hot shod. 🏇 Hacking: Troy hacks out beautifully in company. He is happy to sit behind and plod along like a little old donkey! 😂 He is not spooky and completely unfazed by traffic. We have also hacked him alone. On one occasion he did try a little sticky moment, but with a quick reassurance from the crop he went forwards without hesitation. For this reason, I would not recommend Troy to a complete novice hacking alone, as he is a clever horse and I don’t want him learning that he can get away with planting. With a capable rider who gives him clear, confident instructions, he responds immediately and goes forwards. We have popped Troy over logs and he makes a beautiful shape, and he has also jumped coloured poles without hesitation. 🪵✨ We have taken Troy on an amble with over 150 horses, and he behaved impeccably. He jumped logs, crossed a river and took everything in his stride, proving himself to be a real gentleman. ❤️ I genuinely believe Troy could make a fantastic riding club, hunting, hacking or all-round horse in the right capable hands. He has a lovely attitude and is willing to please. Troy does have a very old splint on his front leg, which is cold and does not affect him in any way. ✅ Up to date with vaccinations ✅ Up to date with farrier ✅ Up to date with worming ✅ Teeth seen approximately 6 months ago ✅ Loads and travels well ✅ Happy living in or out ✅ Happy living in a herd ✅ Easy to handle ✅ Good for the farrier ✅ No issues with traffic ✅ Hacked alone & in company ✅ Jumped logs & coloured poles ✅ Excellent in a large group Troy really is a sweet, genuine boy who deserves a fantastic forever home.
