🐴 JOB OPPORTUNITY – YOUNG HORSE EXERCISE RIDER including general yard duties 🐴
Friesians Scotland – Perthshire

Now that we are past the Barock Pinto grading, we now need to get back to starting and returning more youngsters to work.

We are looking for an experienced, confident and sympathetic rider to join our team at Friesians Scotland, based near Coupar Angus, Perthshire.
The main role will be hacking and exercising young Friesian and Barock Pinto horses, helping to develop their confidence, fitness and education.
We have the choice of two options:

🐎 PART-TIME – PERMANENT A regular part-time position for someone looking for ongoing work with a lovely selection of Friesian and Barock Pinto horses.

🐎 FULL-TIME – SHORT TERM Alternatively, we are looking for someone who would be interested in working full-time for a short-term period, particularly to help with exercising and bringing on the young horses.
The ideal person:
• Experienced and confident riding horses outside the arena
• Comfortable riding young horses, including horses with limited experience
• Quiet, patient and sympathetic in their approach
• Able to work independently and responsibly
• Good horse-handling skills from the ground as well as ridden
• Reliable and trustworthy
• Previous experience with young horses is essential.
This is not a competition riding position – the priority is safe, sensible and sympathetic exercise, particularly hacking young horses and giving them a good education and varied work.
We have a lovely selection of horses and this would be a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young horses and wants to gain experience with Friesians and Barock Pintos.
