We’re incredibly proud to celebrate six members of our coaching team who have successfully passed their England Rugby Coaching Award this week!

🫡 CAPTAIN ANNOUNCEMENT

We’re proud to announce that Kirsty Fox will be leading our Women’s Team as Captain for the 2026–27 season.

Since joining the Ladies squad in 2023, Kirsty has become a key part of the team, earning 22 caps and consistently setting the standard with her commitment, determination, and strong work ethic on the pitch.

Her performances have not only played a big role in the team’s progress, but have also highlighted her leadership qualities and the respect she’s built within the squad.

As she steps into this new role, we’re excited to see Kirsty lead the team into the next chapter and continue driving standards on and off the pitch.

🚨 BREAKING NEWS

Well… we’ve tried to keep this quiet for as long as possible, but with all the excitement surrounding Ellie lately, we thought it was finally time to let the cat out of the bag…

We are absolutely DELIGHTED to announce that following her departure from Harlequins, Ellie Kildunne has agreed terms and officially signed for our Women’s Team at St Ives Rugby Club!

After intense negotiations (one WhatsApp message and a promise of post-match chips), Ellie cited our incredible facilities, unmatched atmosphere, and the chance to experience rugby at its true grassroots best as key reasons behind the move.

Speaking about the signing, Ellie said:

“I just couldn’t turn down the opportunity to play in front of the famous St Ives faithful… plus I heard the clubhouse is decent.”

Our coaching team are excited to see her slot into the squad this season, although there are already rumours she may struggle to get ahead of some of our current stars…

In all seriousness though… with the buzz around women’s rugby and players like Ellie inspiring the next generation, it’s a brilliant time to celebrate the growth of the game

(And before her agent calls us… yes, this is very much a bit of fun 😅)
