Plymouth Scale Model Association

IPMS Plymouth will be supporting the North Somerset model show in the Helicopter museum near Weston Super Mare on Sunday 12th July.

Tonight’s meeting was the first time we had bring a model to build. It was well supported with 10 members building during the 2 hour session. It was agreed to use the second monthly meeting as a build night every couple of months.

Unable to build models due to the hot weather. Monday Club night is model build evening. Bring a kit to build.

We had 9 models entered in tonight’s competition. As usual standards were high and marking difficult for the club members who had that responsibility. Well done to Geoff for coming first with a F14D, second was Marks Boxcar then George with his Dragon Mk2. Fourth was Roger’s Crusader, fifth was Dave’s Challenger 2 and then a Mini by Lawrence. Will followed with a 17th Century Warship then joint 8th Tim’s FW190 and Jacks D15 SPG.

Monday is Junes competition night. Who fancies maximum points…….

On Monday’s club meeting (1st June) there is a talk on Harrowbeer by a member of the RAF Harrowbeer staff.

May competition tonight, we had 8 really good models entered with some close marking scores. Congratulations to Mark S coming first, then 3 members second, Mike H, Mike D and Ian. Joint 3rd was Tim and Roger, followed by Lawrence and Will.

Monday 18th May is competition evening. Who fancies top points.

Remember Woodlands Fort is CLOSED on Monday 4th May so no club meeting.

Second model competition of the year 8 entries with a large selection of different models and scales. Congratulations to Geoff who came first. 2nd was Roger followed by Mike D. 4th was Tim then joint 5th was Terry and Lawrence, next came Mike H and Will.
