Our Charity Wimbledon-themed Fun Tournament was a great success! We had a full complement of 24 players, so every court was full on a beautiful summer's day... and a total of £285 was raised for 'Sport In Mind'.

It's and this week we would like to say a big thank you to Caversham Park Tennis Club club
We are delighted to have been selected as their charity of the year, and on April 10th, the club held their first fundraiser, raising a fantastic £608 for Sport in Mind. An absolutely brilliant day and a fantastic amount raised that will go a long way in supporting the work we do to improve the lives of people experiencing mental health problems through sport and physical activity.
Thank you Caversham Park Tennis Club and we cant wait to see what's next! 💙

The sun shone generously as the club held its Easter charity event yesterday to raise funds for Sport In Mind. The courts buzzed with friendly competition before the on-court activities gave way to a sumptuous lunch and a fabulous raffle draw. A total of over £600 was raised for the charity. A big thankyou to everyone involved.

Santa (Saint Nick?) turned up for the club's Xmas Jumper Tournament earlier today. Judging by this picture, he seems to have done very well (or did he use some festive magic on that score post just before the camera clicked?!) 😲

Reading Abbey celebrates its 900th anniversary this year. You might wonder what that's got to do with tennis, but the abbey was closed down during Henry VIII's 'Dissolution of the Monasteries'... and it was Henry VIII who introduced tennis to England. Indeed, legend has it he was playing tennis when he was told Ann Boleyn had been executed. Okay, a very tenuous link, but check this out anyway...
