No job is too small for Chaz at Abbey and over Fat Blokes 7s, she went above and beyond her volunteer hours doing whatever job the organising team needed of her. She did everything with a smile on her face and without complaint. Chaz has also recently taken on our RugbySafe Committee role, and is instrumental in the administration for T1 Rugby at the club. Congratulations to Hannah Skeels who is the Senior Women’s Player of the Month for July.

🗣️ Women’s Head Coach Joe Pegg said: “Skeels has demonstrated fantastic leadership so far this preseason, been welcoming to new players and has worked hard to better her game both on and off the pitch. She’s a huge asset to our squad as we enter a new league with new challenges, all the time displaying our core values at training and pushing others around her to be better. Rewarding her with one of the VC roles was an easy decision as she’s exactly the type of player we want driving our squad forward.”

🗣️ Men’s Head Coach Charlie Davey said: “Gaddy has hit pre-season running, bringing plenty of energy and commitment to every session while putting in the extra yards away from training too. 💪

He’s also been leading from the front off the pitch, stepping up to help run our lineouts before sessions and getting stuck into organising the first-team social.

A massive thank you to Gaddy, Mia, Sam, and Babes for running our very first Senior Masterclass today!

The session was a huge success, with our U9 to U14 players learning an incredible amount from the senior squad. From boosting tackle confidence and sharpening decision-making to dialing in scrum technique and kicking, the improvement across every age group was fantastic to see.

Thank you for giving back your time and inspiring the next generation!
