During our Big Team catch up at the start of the month Jen gave us goodie bags with beautiful yoga cards, notebook and a pen, an affirmation card and a gorgeous keyring made by her very talented son. Such a lovely gesture and lots of helpful, lovely things 🧡

Last week the children in my classes enjoyed our dinosaur theme. So much knowledge about dinosaurs from such a young age, they taught me lots of things I didn’t know! They also enjoyed meeting Tiny the T-Rex and listening to the Worrysaurus, a book all about living in the moment and letting worries go 💚

This week has been all about Autumn, the colours,animals and learning about change and how it can be a bit scary but also exciting. The Leaf Thief is such a fun book and when squirrel needed to relax, he took some calming breaths! 🤎

This week Yogi Bear has been enjoying classes all about rainbows 🌈 shapes, colours, weather, feelings.

The children really enjoyed talking about the colours and when they have seen them. Some even had them on their clothing that day which they loved!

We used the scarfs at the end of the session, floating, falling, catching, blowing. Lots of calm, mindful movement to lead us into the relaxation part of the class.

Rainbows really are a miracle when you think about it, they never cease to amaze me 🌈

Mindful breathing together is very powerful and the little ones in my nursery classes have become experts. There are different types that we enjoy together:
Bee breathing 🐝
Flower breathing 🌺
Hot chocolate breathing 🍫
Turtle breathing 🐢
Seeing little ones as young as 2 being able to focus on this skill each week has been wonderful 🥰

🐬 Dolphin breath – breathe in and pop your cheeks like bubbles
Animal breaths calm the body and brings smiles too!

Tingsha bells help us to open and close our yoga practice. The children are invited to close their eyes or soften their gaze. Quite often the excitement of the bells brings out the giggles which I love, absolute joy on their faces!
