We are so proud of our U14's, the resilience and attitude they have shown over the last week is admirable.
Accolades to Gareth Gaspar who has steered them through this difficult time, they are extremely lucky to have you as a coach. ❤️💙

Under 14’s Blues Cup
Ferndale RFC 22-19 Canton RFC
Great game of rugby today from both teams, with the game hung in the balance for both sides and could have gone either way at the end.
Ferndale started the brightest and got a deserved try from Shay who also converted .
Canton replied soon after following a couple of errors in the contact area bought the score level. Some missed tackles allowed the Canton winger finish under the posts.
Ferndale started to use their weight advantage in the forwards to setup a fine try for Logan following a good run from Mason.
Half time 12-14
Second half was again evenly matched, but we had the instruction to use the power of the forwards and this is what the boys to setup another try for Shay in the corner. 17-14 up with 10 minutes to go, and some handling errors rustled in canton getting a try following some sloppy play.
5 minutes to go and 17-19 down, boys kept the ball and worked the phases well, making ground to setup the backs, and Shay got his rewards with a fine try in the corner for his hatrick.
Game ended 22-19, and boys fully deserved this win. The resilience they have shown this week and again today has been immense.
Some great performances but stand out was Harrison Leach in the backs who did not miss one tackle today, and Logan in the forwards, who was in beast mode all game. Credit to every single player and would also like to thank Canton for their support and also travelling to us today. Good luck for the remainder of the season.
This one today was for Keri ❤️💙

2 big wins in one week deserves pizza 🍕 because salad don't win scrums 😂 🥗

15/09/2026

A big well done to the majority of our U15 team and a few of our U14's who competed for Ferndale Community School in the Rhondda Schools rugby tournament today.
They beat all the schools participating and will now go on to represent the Rhondda in the Wales Schools Cup tournament 🏆
For such a small catchment area, there's no doubt we have some serious talent in our small valley.
Da iawn lads ❤️💙
