Sometimes in class, we’ll invite you to close your eye. not just at the beginning or end of your practice, but throughout it too.
Closing your eyes isn’t about switching off, It’s about tuning in. It’s an opportunity to reorient your awareness to what’s present within you. To notice your breath, observe sensations, gently move away from external distractions and the temptation to compare yourself with those around you.
So much of yoga is self-study, learning to listen, observe, and meet yourself exactly as you are, without judgement.
When we turn our attention inward, we create space to practise with greater intention, curiosity, and purpose. And often, that’s where the most meaningful part of the practice begins.
