Wheatsheaf Cabin Crew RFC

Directions Website

Wheatsheaf Cabin Crew RFC The Wheatsheaf Cabin Crew are a Salisbury based team at the cornerstone of grassroots rugby. The Wheatsheaf Cabin Crew are based in and around Salisbury.

Fueled by good food and Badger Ale, anyone can play and drink with the cabin crew. Our home ground is on Netherhampton Road, behind the Auction House just outside Harnham, and our club house is the Wheatsheaf Pub in Lower Woodford. The team was developed for guys who enjoy playing rugby to get together on a Saturday afternoon have a game, then head to the pub after for a well earned drink. The Club has an ethos of "Everyone gets a go", so if you turn up, you get to play. It's not always about the winning (but it is always nice). So If you are 17 years or older, old or new to the game feel free to contact a club official or turn up to a training session.

After two tough opening rounds and a run of serious injuries, the Wheats are back at The Cattlemarket this Saturday as we welcome Bridport RFC.

This is always a tough fixture for both sides and usually a proper physical battle from the first whistle.

Bridport arrive on a high after a big win over Oaks, while the Wheats will be looking to respond after a difficult defeat last time out. One thing you can never write this group off for though — we’re always dangerous when there’s something to prove.

📍 The Cattlemarket, SP2 8RH
📅 Saturday 10th October
⏰ 3.00pm kick-off

Get down, get behind the lads and expect another big grassroots rugby battle. 🦡🏉

And, as always, a huge thank you to all of our team and player sponsors for their continued support. Your backing genuinely helps keep grassroots rugby going and means a lot to everyone at the club. 💚🦡

🚨 OFFICIAL CLUB STATEMENT 🚨
Following recent developments surrounding Manchester City, Wheatsheaf Cabin Crew RFC would like to confirm that we are launching our own internal investigation. 🍺
Allegations include:
🏉 Paying referees in pints.
🏉 Suspiciously generous post-match fines.
🏉 Questionable team selections based on who bought the last round.
🏉 Undisclosed BBQ expenditure.
🏉 Players receiving performance-related bonuses in the form of sausage rolls.
We can confirm that all financial irregularities will be thoroughly investigated… once the treasurer finds the cash tin. 😂
Grassroots rugby. Still cleaner than City. 💚🖤
