Here is the official breakdown of the wildly creative security personalities based on how people lock the gate, (just a few of many).

​The "I Have Trust Issues" Overachiever: This person loops the chain around the handle, through the bars, crosses it twice, and fastens the lock so tightly that opening the gate requires a degree in structural engineering.

​The Existential Minimalist: They hook the lock onto literally one single link of chain, dangling it over the handle like a sad ornament. It offers zero security, but hey, the illusion of a locked gate is what counts.

​The "I'm Late for Soccer Practice" Speedrunner: They just slap the lock onto the handle and bolt, leaving the chain doing interpretive dance across the metal frame.

​The Chaos Demon: The lock is clicked shut, but the shackle isn’t even through the chain. The gate is wide open. Technically locked, practically a trap for the next poor soul.

​The Creative Abstract Artist: Wrapping the chain haphazardly around the wooden post while the lock sits somewhere down below defying gravity.

We’ve been asked to run the Dog Show as part of the day, and we’re really looking forward to bringing some fun, furry chaos along! 🐶🏆

🐾 THE FIELD – WHERE LEAVING IS OPTIONAL… APPARENTLY! 😂

You’ve booked your time at Fieldtastic, you’ve had a fabulous run, sniffed EVERYTHING, chased absolutely nothing in particular… and then your human says those dreaded words:

“Right, time to go!” 😳

Excuse me?!
GO WHERE?!
We’ve only just got started! 🤣

The dogs at Fieldtastic have a very different understanding of time.

Because let’s be honest… they may not be able to tell the time, but they definitely know when it’s time to leave! 🐾🤣

Who else has a dog that suddenly develops selective hearing at the end of their Fieldtastic session? 👀😂

😂 A DAY IN THE LIFE OF MEL & KATH…

Some people message their friends about holidays, nights out and what they’re having for tea.

Kath and I?
We message each other 20+ times a day about Fieldtastic. 😂🐾

📱 “Have you seen this booking?”
📱 “Can you add them to the playdate?”
📱 “Who’s coming tomorrow?”
📱 “What time does the field shut?”
📱 “Can you check this?”
📱 “I’ve just had another message.”
📱 “Oh… and another one.”
📱 “Have we got enough poo bags?”
📱 “WHO LEFT THE PADLOCK LIKE THAT?” 😂

And then, usually around 10pm…

Kath: “Sorry, one more thing…”
Me: “😂 Go on then…”

There is apparently no such thing as OFF DUTY when you run a dog field. 🐶😂

Between bookings, playdates, messages, questions, problems, ideas and the occasional “WHAT ON EARTH IS GOING ON?!”…

I’m pretty sure Kath and I now have a relationship based entirely on WhatsApp notifications and dog-related emergencies. 🤣

At this point, we should probably just move in together and save ourselves the typing. 😂🐾
