Radrigs: Slackline Equipment

The first highline world championship is happening this weekend in Laax in Switzerland. 31 Athletes are competing in speedline and in highline freestyle.
We from radrigs are super proud that all the freestyle lines are rigged with an orange on each side. The ability to release tension with the orange and that it is certified by the ISA were the reasons why the organisers contact us and asked us to provide them with the oranges.
Athletes prefer different tensions for their sessions, the orange makes it possible to change fast and easily the tension to exactly the sweet spot for each athlete.
So we are happy to make sure the athletes can really show their very best in their runs.

The line is less than 30m long but thanks to some bungee at the anchor the bounce feels endless which you can push so hard that you will get some airtime.

The video shoes what happened when we let one of the best freestyle highliners on this powerful line.

Hi all,

We, Jed and Josh, have been working hard for over a year and a half with the aim of making slacklining safer and more fun.

Slacklining has improved our lives so much, we decided to try and improve it, and so we established Radrigs, a company created to make better slacklining equipment.

We thought very hard about which products to work on, and the first thing we want to release is webbing, so we decided to make a releasable weblock.

Since we received great feedback from some experienced slackliners and riggers at the Turkish Highline Carnival, we have been continuing to make improvements on the design, and we are now at a point where we want to share a preview of our weblock with you, and demonstrate how to release it.

It turns out that we weren’t the only people thinking that the potential of weblocks was not reached yet.
The only thing that we are even more surprised about than Slacktivity developing a releasable weblock, is that the mechanism they’ve come up with appears to be very similar.
Slackliners figured out, years ago, that making lines looser can be great, we think it’s cool that two companies (independently and at the same time!) finally figured out how to help them.
