On May 1, 2000, Japanese mixed martial artist Kazushi Sakuraba defeated Royce Gracie via TKO at the PRIDE Grand Prix 2000 Finals in Tokyo, Japan. The bout is historic as the longest match in modern MMA history, lasting a grueling 90 minutes across six 15-minute rounds
