The Solent Devils continue to build their new roster for the 2026-2027 season with the announcement of their seventh player!
The first Netminder added to the squad, Solent Devils add Goaltender Rory Martin-Edwards!

The 24-year-old will be joining the team for his 6th senior season in September, Rory looks to continue his work on and off the ice to develop into a dependable backstop for the team, mentioned in his interview.

"Last season taught me a lot about what it takes to perform consistently at this level. Facing some of the league’s best players meant I was challenged every game, which helped improve my decision-making and mental resilience."

After 7 years of chasing the dream, the Destroyers have finally lifted the trophy once more! 🎉

The Royal Navy Destroyers have been crowned the 2026 Inter-Service Champions, defeating reigning champions the RAF Aces in a thrilling, edge-of-your-seat final, 4-2! 🔥

In a match packed with drama, intensity, and unforgettable moments, the Destroyers rose to the occasion to reclaim the trophy for the first time since 2019. After years of determination and hard work, they have once again reached the summit of Inter-Service sport.

A huge congratulations to every player, coach, and supporter who played their part in this remarkable achievement.

⚓️🏒 Celebrating 20 Years of Royal Navy Ice Hockey 🏒⚓️

2026 marks the 20th anniversary of the Royal Navy Ice Hockey Association (RNIHA) — two decades of growth, grit, and unforgettable moments on the ice.

It all began in 2006 when 12 members of the Naval Service (Royal Navy and Royal Marines) met in Dundee for what was a small military tournament… and created the first ever Tri‑Service competition.

Since that day, Royal Navy Ice Hockey has:

🔹 Grown year on year
🔹 Become a Recognised Sport
🔹 Won the Inter‑Service title multiple times
🔹 Fielded a team in every Tri‑Service tournament since
🔹 Provided players — men and women — to the Combined Services/Armed Forces representational teams

Two of the original pioneers, Lt Cdr Adam Lappin RN and Cpl Jon Underwood RM, are still lacing up and will be on the ice once again at the 2026 Tri‑Service Tournament in Sheffield.

Here’s to 20 years of Royal Navy Ice Hockey — and to the next 20.
