A huge day on the water in San Pedro yesterday! 💥🇬🇧

was untouchable in the ILCA 7, posting two race wins to take the overall lead heading into the final series. 👏

There are plenty more British sailors in the hunt, with sitting fourth in the ILCA 6, fourth in the ILCA 7, and Martin Wrigley & Bettine Harris also fourth in the 470 fleet.

San Pedro OCR Day 1 UPDATED!

After a fantastic week for our board sailors in Long Beach, attention now turns to San Pedro as the ILCA 6, ILCA 7 and 470 fleets get underway! ⛵🇬🇧

It’s been a strong opening day for the team with both of our 470 crews sitting inside the top five.

Following updates from the race officials overnight, and have moved up to second and third respectively in the ILCA 7 standings, while sits third in the ILCA 6.

Today marks the second and final day of the preliminary series!

Andy’s back on the podium! 🥉

Great performance from flying Scot .surf, who finishes 3rd to claim his first major podium since becoming World Champion last year.

A strong finish to the qualifying series in Long Beach, with topping the iQFOiL Women’s standings to secure a direct place in the final. 💪

Four British athletes have progressed to the finals:
iQFOiL Women: Emma Wilson (1st), Islay Watson (10th)
iQFOiL Men: Andy Brown (8th)
Formula Kite Women: Lily Young (7th)

Islay, Lily and Andy will battle it out in the quarter-finals later today, while Emma books her spot straight into the final.
