Is the EDELRID PROFESSIONAL Pinch the ultimate work positioning device?

The issue with most work positioning devices is the total distance, take the Petzl Grillion, you’ve got the karabiner connection with you, device, rope and another karabiner connection to the course.

Reducing that distance is key and the Pinch does that.

I also carry 30m of rope in a little stuff bag so worst case scenario you can just abseil off.

What are you using?

Three different centres this week 🚐

A site specific ropes reassessment, a site visit for a new construction project and a Technical Advisor audit.

All with the same importance and delivered to the same highest standard 🌟

Are steel karabiners essential for your access equipment? Sure, it depends where you’re working but we think so 🗿

Technical Advisor check in this week with Hertfordshire Scouts.

Since our last visit, the team have been working hard to develop a new observation and training process, alongside a competency framework.

This is a fantastic step forward in supporting staff development, building consistency, and ensuring everyone has the skills and confidence to deliver high-quality experiences 😎

Some geeky chat on this weeks ERCA - European Ropes Course Association Refresher course.

Refresher courses can often be challenging to prepare for, as they require us to remain fluid and responsive to what attendees need throughout the day.

At the same time, this flexibility allows us to move through the syllabus in a way that feels natural.

Asking questions, exploring ideas, and creating space to experiment, learn and grow - That’s the joy of being a trainer 😎

Summers back!!! ☀️ Well… it was… Maybe gone again now

Site specific assessments this week for some new starters.

Can you remember your first sign-off as an instructor? 👇

Mine was back in 2011, working as an apprentice at a small centre in the New Forest.

At the time, I never would have imagined that one day I’d be the one out delivering assessments and signing off the next generation of instructors.

Funny how things work out. 🐎
