A busy schedule of cricket at the Hollow this weekend - combined with 2 World Cups make it the ideal time to come and see us.

Junior training this evening with the BBQ running from 7pm - please note that the school fete is also on so parking will be at a premium - please do so responsibly!

Saturday sees a timed fixture with Portsmouth in the Premier League with televised cricket and football in the evening

Sunday we host our women's softball festival - please come along and support our ladies together with those of Havant, Shedfield and Wellow as they compete across the day.

Sunday sees W10 Fest take pride of place at the Hollow when we welcome Havant, Wellow and the Shedfield Sixers to our home for a round robin softball W10 tournament

It promises to be a wonderful event - with the bar open all day and plenty of cricket to entertain

Come along and lend your support to the day - we hope to be able to share a lot of pictures of the festival kindly taken by photographer Paul Barnes

We would also like to extend our thanks to without whom this event would not be possible

Over the weekend – despite the rain – a milestone was reached by a legend within our midst.

Ricky Rawlins arrived at the Hollow already a legend, he was SPL young player of the year in 2005 and a multiple Premier league champion to add to a national T20 title with BAT/Totton.

His 18 runs Sunday took him past the 7000 SPL run tally taking him to 16th in the all-time SPL run scorer’s table.

The Sarisbury Athletic progression through the leagues, twice reaching the Premier division would have been impossible without his contribution and his continued efforts have seen vital contributions towards the draw Sunday and our famous win over the defending champions a few weeks ago.

He is also the reason we know how aerodynamic the baggy green hats are!

Congratulations .rawlins.7 – enjoy the build up to your new arrival and we look forward to you scoring many more runs in the baggy green.

Week 6 results recap.

Saturday was a complete washout, with none of our matches able to get underway.

Our 1st XI match had been moved to Sunday several months ago because we were asked to host Hampshire Academy’s home fixture. They were unable to do so because of preparations for the ICC Women’s World Cup. Thankfully the rain had cleared, although it was a bitterly cold afternoon.

This was the first weekend of timed matches. After 120 overs, we came away with a losing draw and 12 valuable points.

The forecast for Week 7 looks much better, so we should be able to get all five games played. Keep an eye out for the team selections later this week.



Southern Premier Cricket League

A little bit of admin for our members and supporters today – but something that could make an unbelievable difference to our club.

Easyfundraising is an online platform that – through payments made directly from retailers – provide donations to non-profit organisations such as us.

We currently have 48 supporters on the platform that have generated £4,422 since inception a few years ago

BUT

48 is less than the senior members that play on a Saturday for the club, it’s a third of the number of young people in our junior section.
As an added bonus – the club will receive an additional £5 for everyone who signs up and subsequently shops to generate £5 of donations.
