🩶⚽️Week 2 AMU Round Up⚽️🩶
U13s Greys Saturday
First home game for them hosting Dunstan and we started off slow a laps in concentration allowing Dunstan through to go 0-1 up. This was a wake up call to the team and the got into game mode and level with a superb half volley from Logan to make 1 all. Then great pressure and determination from Poppy seen her hit home to make it 2-1 at half time. Second half they came out firing straight away and Kyle scoring with in 5mins of the restart. Then step up Logan again with a long range effort flying into the top corner. Dunstan then pulled one back with 5 to go but the team seen it out comfortable.

U13s Girls
The girls went out and got their first win of the season beating Boldon 4-3.
Great overall effort from all the girls and went in at 2-1 at half time.
Felicity came on and got her first goal for the club and poppy got a hatrick.
Full time 4-3 a very solid performance.
🏆Coaches player of the game went to Ella for being solid at the back and winning every ball.
U11s Saturday
Our U11s Saturday team got off to a flying start against Deerness Valley Thunder with excellent work in possession with brilliant passing and moving combinations. Another fantastic win for the lads
🏆Coaches player went to Bryson for a fantastic performance in midfield and amazing through balls.
🏆Oppositions player went to Finnley for a top class defensive performance and being calm under pressure when playing out from the back.
U12 Greys Sunday
Another great win for the U12s as they hit the road for the first time this season to face Darlington RA. After a relatively slow start the first round of substitutions injected a much needed lift into the game. A hat-trick from Xander, cool finishes from Elliott, Matthew & Noah and a clean sheet for the defensive unit saw the game end 6-0.
🏆Oppositions player went to Xander providing the spark to set us on our way to victory.
🏆 Coaches player went to Tommy made some lovely off the ball runs to get us in behind the opposition defence.
U13s Sunday
Hosted a newly promoted team Riverside orange they come with determination to get something from this one and they went ahead with a ball over the top and great strike. 0-1 at half time. AMU kept trying and pushed for the equaliser but it was one of those day where things just didn’t click and simple stuff was a struggle many shots wide or simple passes over hit. Then up steps Luke as the pressure built on the opposition goal the ball rolls out to Luke just outside the box for him to hit it looping over the crowd and the keeper and into the net 1-1. AMU pushed for the winner but couldn’t get it passed a stubborn defence and top keeper.
🏆Player of the game went to Tommy pulling of a couple of great saves keeping us in the game and great distribution 🧤🧤
U11s Sunday
Our U11s Sunday were away to Great Ayton, with 2 contrasting styles of football on display making for a great game. Really good pressing as a team and creating some brilliant chances. 2nd game 2nd win.
🏆🏆Coaches & Oppositions player went to Matilda for excellent work defending against counter attacks, really good ball carrying and distribution, reading the game superbly.
U14s Girls
AMU 2-2 Bishop St Mary’s
Fran & Freya W with the goals. The girls played really well with some excellent passing and got into very good crossing and shooting positions. On another day we could have had 5/6 goals but for some really good saves from the opposition goalkeeper. It was really hot day and it was good to see all the girls running until the very end. Well done girls.
