After a season away from the men's game, I am incredibly proud to see New Durham AFC returning to the Wearside League.

While there may not have been a men's team on the pitch last season, the club has continued to grow. Our youth section has gone from strength to strength, providing opportunities for young players throughout the community and ensuring that the future of New Durham AFC remains bright.

The return of men's football was always an important goal for us. This club has a proud history, passionate people behind it, and a place within local football. Bringing senior football back to New Durham AFC is a significant step forward and one that everyone connected with the club should be proud of.

I would like to thank all of our volunteers, coaches, players, parents, supporters and sponsors who have continued to support the club. Without your commitment, this return would not be possible.

With Jamie Bowes, Jack Wheatley, Chris Liggy and Neil Elliott leading the men's section, I am confident that we have the right people in place to build something we can all be proud of.

This is just the beginning of a new chapter for New Durham AFC. We look forward to welcoming players, supporters and local businesses as we continue our journey together.
