If you’re riding the Etape Caledonia next week, you’ll already know the work’s done by this point.

The final week isn’t about pushing for more – it’s about turning up in the best place possible.

A few things worth keeping in check:
• Resist the urge to overdo it – it’s easy to add just one more ride but freshness on the day matters
• Keep recovery high on the list with good sleep and easy spins go a long way this week
• Stick with what’s worked – no need to change anything now if your setup, kit and fuelling are dialled
• Keep things ticking over – stay loose, keep some rhythm in the legs, but nothing that leaves you flat

For most riders, it’s about arriving feeling ready, not second-guessing anything.
