There were plenty of games in both divisions this week with plenty of games in both divisions
Division 1

We'll start with Division 1 which saw plenty of games across the board and 3 x teams played a double gameweek as teams jostled for positions for the playoffs.
Firstly, it was a double gameday for the trio of N. Ma/M. Appleby and T. Marsden who made a long awaited return and played two fixtures in one day!
They started off with an early morning win against the Smash Bros. It was a competitive game, but the class of N. Ma and M. Appleby shone through as they won a hard fought 3-0 victory.
However, their very feint title hopes were crushed as N. Ma, this time partnering with T. Marsden failed to defeat the Purple Helmets pair of T. Millward and L. Fleming. Arguably, the game of the week as the first 2 sets were settled by a tie break for either side which resulted in a draw with Purple Helmets up 3-1 in the 3rd.
It was a fantastic performance from Purple Helmets who were unlucky to only come away with the 1 point. Both teams will be looking to consolidate their playoff positions.
But it wasn't all doom and gloom as T. Millward paired with Liam Taylor to defeat PUA Power in a comprehensive 3-0 victory as they Purple Helmets now move into 3rd position.
Lastly the 3rd team to also play a doubles gameweek was Smash Bros who also didn't go empty handed as they defeated the You've Got no Chans pair of M. Rahmen and M. Bradley, playing their first game together. Whilst, the 1st set was tight and finished 7-5 to Smash Bros, the Smash Bros put in a dominant display from Set 2 onwards, only dropping the 1 game.
Smash Bros have all.but guaranteed their safety with their 4th victory and aiming for a mid table finish whilst there is still a bit of work for You've got No Chans to survive the drop.
Lastly, it was the Padel Patriots (R. Chan/Lewis Taylor)who also secured their Division 1 status as they defetaed the Glass Gladiators (C. Paterson/N. Corking) 2-1.
The Glass Gladiators have secured a bonus point and have 2 massive games this week.
Division 2

Just the one game in Division 2 as the Smash Potatoes close in on the Division 2 title. 🏆💪
With their rivals B. Ferguson/L. Featherstone needing a slip up. The Potatoes overcame the first hurdle by defeating A. Highfield/J. Barwick 3-0 to take maximum points to stretch their lead to 5 points with 1 to play.
Should the Smash Potatoes overcome the team of Rowe/Sutcliffe/Davies/Douglas 3-0, they will become league champions. 🏆 🥔
A 2-1 win will also most likely see them become champions, but leaves the door slightly ajar as Ferguson and Featherstone can level them on points, however currently with an inferior GD of 31 which is a lot to overcome.
Further down the table, it's still all to play for especially when it comes to the playoff places as 2nd - 5th look to close out the season and csment their playoff places.
