Happy Birthday to Nick Southgate!

An incredible servant to Gors, Nick has given so much to the club over the years as a player and now a clubman. Always dependable, always committed… just not always service with a smile.

We were going to ask him to look happy for his birthday, but we thought we’d keep expectations realistic.

Have a great day, Nick. Gors wouldn’t be the same without you — even if you’d rather we all left you alone!

YOUR CLUBHOUSE IS THE PLACE TO BE THIS WEEKEND!

There’s plenty of rugby and sport to keep you entertained across the weekend, both on the pitch and on the screens.

🏉 FRIDAY
Our Youth are at home as they welcome Porthcawl to the Welfare Ground, plus URC action on the screens with the Ospreys in action.

🏉 SATURDAY
Our 1st XV are HOME as they take on Crymych RFC in another big league fixture.
Our 2nd XV hit the road, making the short trip to Waunarlwydd.
Pie and a Pint is back and the Container is open serving hot food!

And inside the clubhouse, we’ll have a packed afternoon of live sport with Premier League action, Gallagher PREM and URC fixtures.

Whether you’re coming down to support the boys, meeting up for a pint or settling in for an afternoon of live sport — your clubhouse has you covered.

Get down, support the teams and support your club. Every time you support the clubhouse, you are directly supporting grassroots rugby, from minis all the way up to seniors.

SUPPORTERS’ PLAYER OF THE WEEK | RICO REES

He’s done it again!

For the second time this season, your votes have crowned Rico Rees as our Supporters’ Player of the Week.

Another big performance, another well-deserved win and clearly making an impression on the people watching from the sidelines.

Two wins already for Rico — can anyone catch him?

A club like ours runs on more than what happens on the pitch. It runs on people who give their time, roll up their sleeves and help make it all possible.

Gorseinon RFC is looking for volunteers to support:

* Match day set up
* Gate duties and raffle sales
* Committee roles
* Post-match food and kitchen help
* Our junior and mini section

Whether you can lend a hand occasionally or get involved regularly, your time can make a real difference. You don’t need to be a rugby expert — just willing to help and be part of the club.

If you’re interested, send us a message or speak to a committee member. We’d love to hear from you.

Please share this post and help us keep grassroots rugby thriving in Gorseinon.
