Congratulations to Jamie Jarrett, Kyle Phillips and Arwel Thomas who will be leading the Cwm as Co Captains and Vice Captain for the 2026/27 season👏

⛳️ CHARITY GOLF DAY – WHAT A DAY! ⛳️

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped make this years Charity Golf Day in aid of Blood Bikes Wales such a fantastic success! ❤️🏍️

We had a brilliant day from start to finish, with plenty of golf, laughs, great company and, most importantly, everyone coming together to support an amazing cause.

A special thank you to the Celtic Minor Golf Club for the generosity of allowing us to host the day, our main sponsor TW Group South Wales Ltd and to Bleddyn Howells Family Butchers and Tesco Ystradgynlais who helped keep our teams fuelled throughout the day, as well as all of our hole sponsors and LBS builder Merchants Ystradgynlais for the fantastic donations for our auction. Your support and generosity played a huge part in making the day possible and is very much appreciated. 👏

And of course, thank you to every single person who entered a team, took part, donated and supported the day❤️

After a great day on the course, we carried the celebrations into the evening, where the fantastic Jake Rowlands treated us to some brilliant live vocals and provided the perfect ending to the day! 🎤🎶

On the eve of his funeral we would like to express our sincere condolences to the family of Jeff " Walker" Williams (aka Jeff Tech), one of our ex players.

Jeff played prop and was part of our successful Youth Team that shared the Welsh Cup with Swansea Youth, back in those days there was no extra time or replays so upon drawing the final the cup was shared.

Jeff moved to London to study and during his three years at University would return regularly to play for Cwmtwrch 1st XV, upon graduating and having a teaching placement, he played most of his senior rugby in London, but returning every Christmas to participate in Cwmtwrch's Boxing Day past and present fixture.

Jeff became a teacher at Maesydderwen, and taught many of our members including a No. of our current Committee.

Jeff's great passion was angling and again had a big impact on budding fishermen in the Community as well as the club. He had a wicked sense of humour and was a character in his own right.

Rest in Peace "Jeff Walker" you will be sadly missed within our club and the wider Community 🖤🤍🖤🤍
