Another great club weekend away diving, this time out of Portland in Dorset with Jurassic Aqua Sports.

We did four dives over the weekend, the M2 submarine was our first dive, a very popular dive, we then headed over to the the Lulworth banks for a gentle drift dive.

Saturday evening was out in Weymouth for a nice Italian meal, then on Sunday afternoon it was the German Submarine UB74 at 36m. A short dive due to the depth, but lots of spaces where you can see into the wreck.

The weekend was finished off with a dive on the James Fennel wreck and a swim through the boulders all around it.

The usual wildlife to see, swimming conger eels, lots of crayfish, lobsters and crabs. Great weather and underwater visibility, it made for a another perfect weekend of UK diving!

We still have a few dives planned for the rest of the year. Fancy joining us on one of our club trips, get in touch!

We just had a great, long weekend diving out of Plymouth with In Deep Dive Centre. 17 club members joined in over the weekend for 2 or 3 days of great UK diving.

We dived some of the Plymouth favourites, The James Egan Lane, a WW2 Liberty shipwreck, the more modern HMS Scylla (F71), a broad-beam Leander-class frigate sunk for divers in 2004. We also dived the wrecks of the Elk, the Rosehill, the Glen Strathallen and the Persier and reefs such as the Mewstone and the Eddystone lighthouse.

Lots of wildlife to see, swimming conger eels, lots of crayfish, Octopuses, lobsters and crabs.

With great weather and underwater visibility, it made for a perfect weekend of UK diving! A big thank you to some of our club instructors also gave up a few of their dives to complete some training, we saw four members reaching 40m for the first time and one member completing their first deco dive.

We still have plenty of dives planned for the rest of the year. Fancy joining us on one of our club trips, get in touch!

Although we've all been cooking in the heat this week we've still had a busy one at the Swindon Sub-Aqua Club!

From upgrades to our one of our two boats and installing new oxygen cylinders in our gas room ready for a very busy weekend of diving! Last night we welcomed Kelly and Neil into our onsite pool for a Scuba Try Dive, they were joined by Anna who is heading off to Australia soon and wanted to refresh her skills.

Meanwhile outside in the evening sun, we ran a compass navigation skills session, with regular cold iced water breaks for our members who took part.

Thank you to everyone who has helped out this week, we're back in on Saturday running a Kit Maintenance Workshop course for our members and on Sunday BSAC - British Sub-Aqua Club HQ are in running a Snorkel instructor course!

There is always stuff going on at our club, whether that's diving, training or maintenance days. If you're already a diver or thinking of learning, get in touch, we'd love for you to be part of our growing club!

We were out diving again on Saturday! Two great dives out of Portland harbour in Dorset for some of our club members and back home in time for dinner.

Dive one was a nice little drift off Durdle Door and dive two was a wreck dive on the Countess of Erne in the harbour.

Fancy joining us on one of our club trips, get in touch!

A fun couple of days training, for a few of our club members, as they learnt new skills completing rescue training for their BSAC - British Sub-Aqua Club Sports Diver and Dive Leader training.

Well done to everyone who took part and also to all of the instructors who gave up their time to run the course!

We had a great time at Vobster Quay yesterday, in the sunshine with a few of our club members who completed their Accelerated Decompression (ADP) Course with one of our club instructors.

Lots of skills over two dives and now they're all ready to extend their dive time on some of our club trips.

Congratulations to our club members who qualified and as always a big thank you to our BSAC - British Sub-Aqua Club volunteer instructors who give up their time for free.

Already a qualified diver? Fancy joining an active club with our club instructors in North Wiltshire? Fed up with paying £££s for courses and air fills?

We had a great couple of days running some in-house training for our club members. The first day of the BSAC - British Sub-Aqua Club Chart Positioning Course was all theory and planning at our club house in Swindon, then we took one of our two boats down to Portland in Dorset as we ran the second day out on the water.

All of our members did great work locating their wrecks with their passage plans and they also got a bit of boat handling experience in as well testing out the clubs new GPS unit.

We also had a surface visit over the Spaniard wreck in the harbour from the resident Grey Seal who popped up for a quick hello!

A big congratulations to our club members who took part in the course. If you're looking for a club and interested in learning all about diving in the UK from a RHIB, get in touch! We can run all of the BSAC boat courses in-house with our two boats right up to Diver Coxswain.
