If you fancy heading down to the coast to try and catch a fish or 2 for supper, I have some inexpensive beach casting kit. The WSB and Fladen ranges of rods and reels, along with the excellent terminal tackle available gives you a great chance of catching some really good fish. Well worth popping in for a look. 🐟

While trying to maintain a work/life balance, I seem to spend half my life re ordering stock that I don't even remember selling 🤨. However, I have voluntarily built a new website and distanced myself from ebay for financial reasons. To this end, I find myself being as much a mail order warehouse as an old style tackle shop........ bare with me over the coming months as I navigate the uncertainty of selling on a brand new website with the needs of my valued local regular customers. Hopefully no one will notice the difference, except me. In the meantime, don't only come in for your bait and tackle replenishments, but come in for a chat as well. Its all about the fishing community.

After trials of recent weeks I'm going to head off to France next week for a short break. I'll be closing a 14.00 on Saturday 5th Sep, and reopening on Wed 16th. I've got plenty of bait in this week if you need some before I close. Perhaps even a new rod or 2 might help those catch stats.. ;-)

For those of you that follow Wiltshire Angling Ltd from a distance, I now have an e-commerce website. It's early days and I am slowly loading the stock up, but it will probably take a week or 2. I have been trying to get away from ebay for some time, as the fees are a little heavy for a small business, and this way I have better control. The website is the same as before. www.wiltshireangling.co.uk . There are also links to the shop on the dot Com and dot UK sites as well. I'm working on better postage solutions, potentially a cheaper contract rate, so bare with me. In the meantime, it is live, so have a browse. If you're Swindon based and just can't be arsed to come to the shop, this sites for you.... 😉 Cheers all.

I've currently got a good number of great retro rods from the 70's, 80's and 90's... Abu's, Daiwa's and, the cream of the crop, a 14ft 1977 Hardy Match Maker in stunning condition. If you fancy something a bit different, or want to go on a fishing nostalgia trip, pop in and have a look - not many older ones on display, so just ask me what I have, more than happy to get them out for a look by the prospective new owners.🐟🎣

I've managed to secure a delivery of maggots for tomorrow (Sat 15th Aug) Its a morning delivery so should be there by 12 o'clock. They'll stay fresh for the coming week. Still got plenty of worms in stock as well.

I've been trying to source some maggots all week... its a real struggle as the weather is playing havoc with the supplies. My regular provider is trying their best to get me a delivery for Saturday morning, so fingers crossed, as the weather cools down we can get back to normal. In the meantime, I do have worms (despite what the doctor said ;-) ), and plenty of pellets and fake baits.

There's been a lot of Sea fishing activity lately..... Plenty of Mackeral around, along with the Pollack and some pretty impressive Bass.... I have got some 10ft Beachcasters in, to go with the 13 and 14ft ones. If you're heading for the coast and fancy a bit of fishing, pop in and grab some gear.... apart from affordable rods and reels, I have a great selection of rigs and lines. I also have frozen bait.... Sand Eels, Sprats, Herring and Mackeral.
