Water Safety Week 💙

Did you know that the colour of your child’s swimwear can make a big difference to visibility in the water?

Neon and fluorescent colours, like the bright green shown here, are much easier to spot both on the surface and underwater compared to darker colours or pale blues that can blend into the pool. 🌊

While no swimwear replaces active supervision, choosing bright, high-visibility swimwear is a simple step that can help keep children easier to see in and around the water.

💙 Water Safety Week at Tiny Swimming 💙

Water confidence starts with water safety.

This week we’re sharing simple but important messages from the Water Safety Code:
🛑 Stop and think
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Stay together
🌊 Float
📞 Call 999 or 112 in an emergency

Teaching children to respect the water and know what to do around it is just as important as learning to swim.

Every little lesson helps build safer, more confident swimmers for life. 💙

Why does child-led swimming matter? 🌊💙

Every child is different.

Some little swimmers jump straight in, while others need a little more time to explore and build confidence.

That’s why we follow a child-led approach—meeting each child where they are and supporting them at their own pace.

When children feel safe, supported, and listened to, they develop confidence in the water, learn new skills naturally, and build a lifelong love of swimming.

Because swimming isn’t just about learning a skill—it’s about creating positive experiences that last a lifetime. ✨
