PRE SEASON BEGINS 🏃

Tomorrow is the beginning of our pre season as some of the lads will be meeting at Splashdown - Quay West for a run along the coastal path.

The run will start at 18:30 from the location pinned on the map below. New and old players welcome. Any questions or if you want to register interest, contact Ben Kent.

A 3-3 draw is the result as we finish the 25/26 season in considerably better fashion than last year. Due to Waldon giving Bere Alston a walkover tomorrow, they have been gifted the 3 points to take them into 3rd place but honestly, considering where we were 12 months ago, a fourth place finish is fantastic.

The first goal coming from an Alfie corner who stepped in after a couple of late dropouts. Hancock, completely unmarked, simply nods home across the keeper to take us one up.

Dom Lavallee finishing the season on a high with two brilliant goals, being an absolute bully in the box and poaching perfectly from close range for his first goal. Alfie with a long throw, touched down by Nath and plays Dom in to smash home from a few yards out!

Our final goal, Northy takes a long free kick, Dom manages to get his way in between the opposition defender and the keeper and again, absolutely buries it from close range. A well deserved man of the match call.

Big improvements have happened this season and the teams position in the table shows. A lot of hard work and dedication will only lead to stronger performances in the next season!

Following Teign Village’s confirmed promotion, the fight for third place still exists and it’s us and Bere Alston still fighting for that one. A fantastic result today against what were the league leaders & county cup winners. Clean sheet at the safe hands of Jacob and goals from forwards Oaks & Eden to cap off a fantastic season for the first team.

Alfie getting his head on a lose ball to knock it down for Eden who buries it from inside the 18 yard box on the volley to make it 1-0.

Jacob with a long kick this time, Oaks manages to flick it on with his head for Eden who lets it come across it body, catching it sweetly on the volley and smashes it into the roof of the net for 2-0.

Last but not least, Louie lofts a lovely ball straight through the middle of the pitch for Oaks who makes a run through. He composes himself and hits it straight into the bottom corner leaving the keeper with no chance. What a season this young lad has had this year. 28 goals and looking likely to get the golden boot.

Big final game that shows the growth of this team. From losing to Paignton Villa in the first game of the season to going toe to toe with absolutely everyone in the league. The gaffer asked the lads to believe and they have done just that and come a long way.

This is it, the final game of the season for our first team and what a team to do it against being the current league leaders. The lads managed to overcome WBB earlier in the season with a 2-1 victory so the lads will be looking to complete the double over them with a strong performance today.

Get down and cheer on the first team for one last push to set themselves up in the best position possible. We’re stronger together.

A strong result which is exactly what we needed against one of the title contenders for this season if they can get their games finished.

Starting 1-0 down, we needed a reaction. Our first goal is created by Walts with a long ball over the top, keeper comes to meet the ball and misses it, Eden gets control of it instead and chips it over the two Elburton defenders to level up the score.

We then go 2-1 up from a throw in from Alfie, proving that he has his own special talents, Louie makes the run near post and delicately flicks the balls into the opposite side of the goal with a header.

Eden then gets his second of the game. Swag takes a free kick from about 30 yards which crashes off the post and bounces back out to Eden who heads home comfortably.

For our fourth and final goal, Walts takes a corner which is headed out to Connor. Connor sets Walts who buries one into the top corner to make it 4-1.

Elburton score two late goals but the lads manage to hold on in what became a tight game in the end against a very good team.

Good luck to Elburton for their final run in and finishing their games. A mountain to climb for them!

Another step closer in our hunt for second place after dispatching Waldon comfortably about Barton Downs.

A shaky start for the Waldon goalkeeper after a cross comes in from the right and he chooses to punch it instead of catching. Thankfully it falls to Nath who catches it on the left foot half volley to open the scoring.

Soon after we find ourselves matched with Waldon getting their own goal. We continue pressing on, a ball from Nath goes into Zach who does a one two with Northy and places it past the onrushing goalie for 2-1.

Spence & Dom, both coming on in the second half, completely changed the game for us. High energy and combinations between the two, creating our next goal. Spence knocking the ball over the top from the right wing for Dom. Dom holds off his defender and smashes it in for our third.

Lastly, Dom battles through the Waldon defence and as the keeper comes out, he (fortunately for us) misjudges his collection and Dom burrows it from short range. 4-1 and job done for the day.

Waldon another team who have to work hard to get their games finished after a slow start to the season so good luck to them in their final few games.
