- Yendys Pluto vs Barr Beacon Lightning.

- Yendys Pluto faced challenging conditions this evening in the summer league, battling driving rain and wind during back-to-back matches.

- In their first game against Barr Beacon Lightning, both teams started tentatively, resulting in a fiercely contested match. The opening quarter served as a settling-in period, but Yendys showcased impressive interceptions and quick play to move the ball effectively down the court. They fought hard, even taking the lead twice, but ultimately lost by just one goal.

- Finishing at 25-24 loss.

- Saskia was rightly named Player of the Match. 👏🏻

- The second match against Aldridge saw the rain ease, though the courts remained wet. Yendys started strong, building their lead through solid teamwork, impressive shooting, and strong defensive play. Despite Aldridge’s relentless pressure, Yendys maintained control and secured a convincing victory.

- 22-11 win.

- Sienna earning Player of the Match for her defensive performance 👏🏻

- Yendys Mercury vs Libra Lea.

- Yendys Mercury played a very rainy game of netball Monday night in the summer league against Libra Lea. The girls started off strong, building connections and playing the ball safe.

- As the rain became heavier, the mistakes became more frequent in the second quarter. The girls came off and resettled, ready to go on for the second half and continue their strong performance from the first quarter.

- Well done girls on a convincing 39-23 win. 🔥🔥

- Yendy’s Pluto vs Libra 1.

- In an exciting clash in the South Staffs Summer League Division 1, Yendys Pluto triumphed over Libra 1 with a score of 17-9.

- Facing off against an older U16s team, the U13s Yendys squad showcased resilience and adaptability, particularly against Libra’s height and physicality.

- The match took place in challenging conditions, with wet and slippery surfaces making play difficult. Despite a few mistakes, Yendys displayed flashes of impressive teamwork and skill, adjusting their game to counter Libra’s taller players. This experience proved invaluable, providing essential learning opportunities for the younger team.

- Yendys Mercury vs Bran Nu.

- Yendys Mercury continued their impressive progress with a hard-fought 29-18 victory over Bran Nu in Division 1.

- In difficult wet and slippery conditions, the team showed great teamwork, determination and composure throughout the match. Two new additions to the squad settled in immediately and gelled brilliantly with the team, making a real impact from the start.

- The progression this squad is showing week by week is brilliant to see, and this result was fully deserved. Well done to everyone involved.

- In very difficult and “character building” conditions the U14/15 team battled hard against an experienced Div 2 team “Zeus”

- The score swung by 1 goal each quarter.

- Playing the short ball to goal and contesting every aerial pass paid off resulting in a final score 19-18 win 💛💙

- Solid performance today from 14/15s v Barr Beacon. Winning each Quarter by small margins.

- Final score 29-20.

- Yendys Pluto vs Sutton Town Giants U12.

- In an exciting rematch, Yendys Pluto faced Sutton Town Giants U12s today in the BINL, eager to avenge a previous loss. The team came out fired up, with every player giving their all from the start.

- Yendys’ mid-court excelled at moving the ball quickly to the shooting circle, where our shooters worked seamlessly together, converting chances and intercepting passes during Sutton’s throw-ins. The relentless pressure from the mid-court ensured swift transitions, while the defence worked tirelessly in closing down space, forcing Sutton’s shooters to the edge of the circle and capitalising on rebounds.

- Despite Sutton’s fierce competition, Yendys remained composed, securing a convincing 31-24 victory 💛💙. This was a crucial win for the team today and takes us to the top of the table with two games left to play. The girls can be immensely proud of their performance! 👏🏻

- PPOM went to Jia Padda, but the whole team deserve recognition today 👏🏻💛💙

- Yendys Pluto vs Barr Beacon Starz.

- Yendys Pluto faced Barr Beacon Starz this evening in Division 1 of the South Staffs Summer League, contending with wet and slippery conditions.

- From the outset, Yendys demonstrated a strong performance, maintaining consistent play throughout all four quarters. The team excelled at shutting down Barr Beacon’s attacks, resulting in numerous turnovers during the first half. By the end of the second quarter, Yendys had established a significant lead of 16 goals.

- Although some hesitation was evident due to the slippery conditions, which occasionally led to rushed plays and poor passes, Yendys held their composure and continued to dominate the game.

- The match concluded with a decisive score of 46-19, with Chidera named Player of the Match 👏🏼

- Yendys Venus vs Stockland Belles.

- Yendys Venus faced their toughest test of the season last night against fellow unbeaten side Stockland Belles, with both teams putting their perfect records on the line in a highly competitive contest.

- The game was closely fought throughout, with Venus always within touching distance but just trailing by the odd goal for much of the match. Despite the deficit, the team showed great composure and determination to stay in the contest against an experienced Stockland side. Venus came out strongly in the fourth quarter, scoring three consecutive points to briefly take the lead.

- However, Stockland responded well under pressure and used their experience in the closing stages to edge back in front and see out a narrow 26-23 victory.

- Although the unbeaten run came to an end, it was an encouraging performance from a young Venus squad who showed plenty of character, fight, and resilience against strong opposition.

- Player of the Match went to Tamsin Garrison.
