Tomorrow, our NO BS Kids Crew™ athletes take on the HYROX Young Stars Simulation at Jetts Farnham.
For some, this will be their very first race experience. For others, it’s another opportunity to challenge themselves, build confidence, and see just how far they’ve come.
Tomorrow isn’t about who finishes first.
It’s about having the courage to step onto the start line.
It’s about showing determination when things get tough, encouraging your teammates, giving your best effort, and crossing the finish line with a smile.
That’s what we’re building at NO BS Kids Crew™.
Over the last few months, these young athletes have grown in confidence, resilience and belief, and tomorrow they get to put all of that into practice in a fun, supportive environment.
A huge thank you to Jetts Farnham for hosting us, and to all the parents who continue to support and encourage their children every step of the way. We couldn’t do it without you.
Good luck to every single athlete taking part. I’m incredibly proud of you all already.
Let’s raise the next generation stronger together. 💛🖤👊

A few months ago, AFib forced me to rethink how I train.
Not stop.
Not quit.
Rethink.
Like most athletes, my instinct was to push harder.
Train more.
Find another gear.
But sometimes maturity as an athlete means understanding when to pull back.
I’ve spent over 35 years in physically demanding professions.
Royal Marines.
Fire Service.
Police.
And coaching.
The one thing I’ve learned is that fitness isn’t just about performance.
It’s about capability.
It’s about being healthy enough to do the things that matter.
Healthy enough to work.
Healthy enough to support your family.
Healthy enough to enjoy life.
Healthy enough to keep showing up.
Now I adapt, manage what I can control.
I respect what my body is telling me.
That’s the lesson.
Your goals may change.
Your circumstances may change.
Your health may change.
But your purpose doesn’t have to.
Train for performance.
But never forget to train for life.

Trust the Process. Back Yourself. Deliver on Race Day.
This weekend was a reminder that success in endurance sport isn’t about perfect conditions. It’s about preparation, adaptability and the confidence to execute when things get tough.
One athlete took on an Ironman in France with temperatures reaching 38°C. The original race plan had to be adjusted to match the conditions, but that’s exactly what good coaching and smart racing is about. He stayed disciplined, managed his effort, adapted his nutrition and pacing, and got the job done. No panic. No ego. Just intelligent decision-making under pressure.
The second athlete represented Great Britain at the European Standard Distance Triathlon Championships in Spain. Against some of the best age-group athletes in Europe, he finished 12th in his age group and was the 9th fastest British athlete in that category. A fantastic performance built on months of consistent work, attention to detail and trusting the process.
What both performances had in common wasn’t talent.
It was consistency.
The early mornings.
The sessions completed when motivation wasn’t there.
The willingness to trust the training plan. The ability to stay patient and focus on long-term progress rather than short-term results.
As a coach, seeing athletes put their faith in the process and then deliver on race day is what it’s all about.
Congratulations to both athletes on outstanding performances. Enjoy the achievement, take the lessons forward, and then it’s back to work.
The next goal starts now.

4 months ago, this was just an idea.
A vision to create something that would help young people become fitter, more confident and more resilient.
Today, NO BS Kids Crew™ is growing, with young athletes turning up every week ready to challenge themselves, support each other and discover what they’re truly capable of.
The goal has never been to create another fitness class.
The goal is to create opportunities.
Opportunities for young people to build confidence, develop life skills and learn that they can achieve more than they ever thought possible.
We’re only just getting started.
Watch this space.
