Worcestershire FA is deeply saddened by the passing of Colin Waldron, Life Member and former President of the Association.

Colin loved football. He held many roles across League and Cup Committees, always looking to give something back to the game, particularly in Bromsgrove where he was a stalwart of the Bromsgrove League. Colin also represented his District on WFA Council and was part of the Management team of the WFA County U18 squad for many years.

More recently, Colin could still be found attending local matches on a regular basis and was always a volunteer at our end of season County Cup Finals. He contributed so much to grassroots football for nearly 60 years and, in 2024, Colin was presented with an Award for his Outstanding Contribution to Club Football in Worcestershire.

Everyone at Worcestershire FA sends their condolences to Colin's family and many friends. He will be greatly missed. We will share funeral details in due course.

Today we proudly hosted our second ever County Round of the Walking Football FA Cup, bringing together some fantastic teams for another brilliant day of football.

Congratulations to Alcester Town O50s and Alcester Town O60s, who have both progressed to the Regional Rounds. We wish them the very best of luck as they continue their FA Cup journey! 👏⚽

A huge thank you also goes to our fantastic referees and the delivery team, whose hard work and dedication made today’s event possible. Your support behind the scenes is greatly appreciated.

This CPD is recommended for those who Coach in the 11v11 game and experienced in Grassroots and/or the NLS.
