Brad Singleton on Bear Williams remaining with Town ahead of season 2027!

'It’s always really positive when a player chooses to remain at the club despite having interest from elsewhere. That shows a belief in the club, the direction we’re heading and the environment we’re trying to build, so I’m pleased Bear has committed to staying with us.

From the games I’ve watched, and from everything I’ve heard from the staff who have worked with him, Bear is an outstanding competitor and a professional. He takes his rugby seriously, works hard and wants to improve. The game is getting quicker every year and fatigue is becoming an increasingly important factor. Having a prop with Bear’s fitness and ability to keep working under fatigue is a massive asset for us and something I believe will suit the way we want to play.

What excites me most is that Bear has big aspirations in the game and wants to see how far he can take his career. That tells me he’s hungry, and those are the type of players we want in our environment. I think Bear will benefit from the culture we’re building, but our environment and the players around him will benefit from having someone with his attitude in it. I’m looking forward to working with him and seeing how far we can push his game.'
