U11 workington diamond Girls

After what was the worst call of the day about my grandad I thought I was going to miss training 😭😭 and this is my therapy if anyone knows me 😍 fingers crossed and a few iffy days ahead he will be on the mend 😍 i managed to get back for 5pm so took training myself 💪

First if all i would like to welcome Dotty and Emily into our expanding team, I have big plans for this team with it all falling into place by mid season 😍😍 we will be entering a development team in half way through the season like we entered ourselves in last year, I will still be taking, all the training im just trying to give the girls as much game time as possible to develop them as much as possible 😍😍💪😍

To think we started of with 6 girls and now we have 17 girls with a possible chance of getting 2 more 😏🤫🤫 it just goes to show what we are doing as a whole and its amazing 🥰🥰

Training started as always with 25 mins of fitness and the girls walloped it all, with stop/sprints exercises battling exercises and some intense running drills 😅💪

Then we moved onto some triangle passing with 1 person in the middle explaing to the girls about key movement to make a nice easy pass and with some patience it worked with allot of good talking from the girls and some positive moving as well 💪

Then onto so really physical battling from the girls and long distance shooting was brillant to see the girls using there bodies to gain possession and be physical as thats what we are known for 😉😏
We are in such a good position to have 2 really good goal keepers Mia and Emmie and competition is good in a team which I love 💪

Then onto a 20 minute match to see what we worked on in training and it did just that not much input from me in the match which is brilliant because you know your doing your role correctly 🥰

Trainers of the week I gave 2 this week as I was really impressed by 2 girls Addisson for someone who has came back from a broken foot shes flying fitness is still to work on but shes blasting me away each week 💪
Second trainer of the week goes to Dotty I've never seen a young girl come into a very loud group of 16 girls and really compete!!! Her attitude and ability to take everything in what I said was really impressed 👏

Training Report just finished with the boys 🤦💪

My last training session just had to get a quick one in before the wedding 🤦😍

Trying to get the girls to shoot from outside the box and running with the ball at full tilt, and it's working with some brillant shoots and even more impressive dribbling at speed 😍

We have a serious cheat girl with Penelope she's so so so quick even putting her 5 meters back on our quickest and still making the ground up 😍

But the girls are still fit all of them worked hard and also didn't show much fatigue 😍.

I've explained to the girls that we are in a very fortunate position with having 2 goalkeepers!!! And that we should encourage each of them to be at there best at all times !!
Trainer of the week goes to an onfire Harper Musgrave she's picked up where she left off from the tournament and realising taking a touch and passing is the best way 😍😍😍

Tournament/Funday report 👏

First of all, what an amazing day and massive effort from everyone!!! This is all down to 3 coaches and many volunteers, this has made my year so far 😍😍😍

The girls are known for being slow starters and we are improving with sharpness but have a long way to go!!!!!
With a reduced team to make it easier on myself and mall it worked with a few hiccups along the way but we adapt and over come them!!!

Massive massive congratulations to cheetahs in winning the girls tournament with it coming down to us needing to win the game to go top!!!
Brilliant game as always against Cheetas with myself and Jason banging our heads on the ground at points in the game 😂😂 but credit were credit is due they were on point with the little centre back being the girl of the tournament 😍😍

Honestly the support we have had today and all the positives from the spectators and coaches blew me away and this is going to be huge mark my words!!!!

Back to the girls we progressively got better as we went on, alot of good passing with the hard work what Mall has been putting in with the corner routine paying off all tournament, we play these teams that much now they know our strengths and just man mark Danni Mae and crowd Lillie Mae, but honestly the girls attitude today was on point!!!!

Massive shout out to Girls goal of the tournament Lillie from Dearham she is an absolute baller and I've seen her progress myself over the year and its brilliant stick in kid!!!!

Another massive appreciation message Miaya for been brilliant in nets with huge kicks and creating chances keep going kid your a star ⭐

The Diamonds exhibition match between the U10s girls Vs the U9s boys another brilliant game with it being physical and it was good to see girls standing up to the stinky boys 😂😂😂 honestly brilliant day and I'm shattered!!!!

Girl of the tournament for my team!!! Ruby Rose absolute unit at the back and is always composed and is always brilliant!!!!

Battle of the genders funday. Where do we start......
First of all a massive thank you to C J H Ground Works & Construction Services providing the generators and diesel to keep the funday going massive appreciation as this wouldn't have been able to happen with out your help. CM Scaffolding Solutions for your cash donation this went to some of the bouncy castle hire. Again appreciation as the kids were having the best time. &mLawson for the extra portaloos. Mamma rush for her amazing cakes. The lovely ladies on the tombola. Every volunteer that helped out for the day. Helen Reilly for her amazing photographer skills at short notice after 2 dropped out. Ha Castle for providing us 2 bouncy castles and a penalty net. And every team that entered the tournament. And every member of the public that attended for there help and support. Photos to follow in due course as she was a volunteer and is a busy woman.

First pre season game of the year!!!! And it was 90mins long!!!!

From a coaching point of view we have came full circle 🤩💪🤩 the graft the passion the talking the tackling the ability to work things out for themselves was on 🔥

Massive shout out to Cheethas as always who had a game plan and that was to man mark Danni Mae out of the game and it worked a treat well done on the strategy 👏 and I've something planned for the tournament/funday

Also another shout out to our stand in goalkeeper Miyia she was on fire today with some really strong saves and also has monstrous kicks which worked in our favour today 👏
Massive shout out to carter who came along as we didn't know for sure on numbers. His defensive performance was solid with his big clearances

The girls get it now and that fitness is key to us as we just kept running and running and running the girls ability to sort situations out amongst themselves really pleases me as a coach!!!!

Girls of the game, both our number 4s Scarlet and Lillie Mae,

Scarlet surley can't have anything left in the tank, she covered so much ground and battled her little heart out we will get you that goal keep smashing it kid heart of a 🦁
Lillie Mae as always graft graft graft tackle tackle tackle and even bagged herself a goal, your getting into key positions and keep working with Mall as he has an attacking mind!!!! At one point I even gave you a drink during the game and said I was proud of you, so you must of played well 🤦🤦🤦👏

Little credit where credit is due Ayda Wyllie it's amazing to see you have the bit between your teeth kid you didn't even want to come off with your little knock you had, keep being you kid you smashed it today!!!

Training was a little different tonight and was aimed on communication and passing and moving it was a struggle at the start but the girls got there head around it and even started string 9/10 passes together before scoring a goal!!!! Really chuffed with this pre season and our fitness is key!!! And it's on point!!!!

Trainer of the week goes to our new addition Mila only second training but she can graft and that's all I ask!!!

Game thursday playing a 90 minute game so or fitness will come into this!!!!
